Had an enjoyable stay for one night at the Red Palm Hostel. We only had one bad experience at this hostel. My friend and i booked a taxi early the next morning to the airport. The taxi cost us an additional 10RM as the lady at the hostel 'forgot that the price had changed'.

Friendly staff, clean place and toilet, cosy bedroom!
My only complaint (a positive one though) is it is always full house.

Getting there is not difficult at all. If you are :
From Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal:
Take a right turn and walk towards city center along Jalan Pantai (Beach Street) passing Grand Port View Restaurant, before Standard Chartered Bank turn left will see HSBC, walk toward HSBC then right turn will see Sabah Tourism Board (STB) at left side, Walk Straight till the end, Pizza Hut at right side. RED PALM are few step above of Kedai Kopi Daily. Total approximately 10-15 minutes walk.
