Number Eight Guesthouse provides comfortable, modern accommodation housed in three traditional Chinese shop houses. We offer two grades of accommodation; our Budget Wing offers simple but clean and spacious twins and doubles, all with air conditioning and shared bathrooms, while rooms in our Boutique Wing are stylishly decorated and air-conditioned with televisions and DVD players, and boast large bathrooms with hot showers and shaving points.We are situated within the 'Golden Triangle' of three of Kuala Lumpur's most popular sightseeing destinations: Chinatown, Bukit Bintang and the Petronas Twin Towers. This area boasts a seemingly unlimited choice of cafés restaurants, shops, bars, clubs and attractions. We are located a few minutes' walk from a monorail station, enabling you to avoid the city-centre traffic as you navigate your way around KL.Climate-conscious, our renovated colonial building has been fitted with solar panels to provide hot water for guests' showers. Our spacious ground-floor lounge areas feature broadband internet, WiFi and satellite TV, and we offer other services including parking, laundry and a complimentary breakfast.

Dark, dingy, musty - extremely basic......had to climb two flights of very steep stairs to get to a very small, dark, dingy, musty room that was very very basic. We didnt even stay one night.,..found a more pleasant hotel (Hotel Nova) just around the corner. The Eight is definitely not for anyone with walking impairments or if you like light, airy rooms with a television. It is really only for the very basic of backpackers who dont care about their facilities and only want a basic bed and shower.
The again....why anyone would want to go to KL is now beyond me anyway. Shopping no where near as good as Thailand and very little culture.
