Although I booked for the RM40 per night room, the conditione of the room was unacceptable that I was forced to upgrade to a different room and paying more than what I had bargained for.
The RM40 room stank of rotten tobacco, had a rectangular hole for a window and rusted prison-like bed frame that smelt of rancid metal.
The walls seemed to be infected with what looked liked brown liquid fungus and the paintwork were peeling off the wall. It was bad.... more

We have just completed the renovation of B&B Inn Kuching, in April '09 and now have four new Ensuite rooms! We welcome your stay at our hostel. B&B Inn is the First and only council approved licensed hostel in town since 1994. With fifteen years experience in serving backpackers' and budget travelers' needs in Kuching, B&B Inn is also one of the only two hostels listed in Hostelworld Kuching hold valid hostel license and fully approved by Malaysia Fire Department for safety requirements since 1994.

Although I booked for the RM40 per night room, the conditione of the room was unacceptable that I was forced to upgrade to a different room and paying more than what I had bargained for.
The RM40 room stank of rotten tobacco, had a rectangular hole for a window and rusted prison-like bed frame that smelt of rancid metal.
The walls seemed to be infected with what looked liked brown liquid fungus and the paintwork were peeling off the wall. It was bad... I didn't expect even a 3-star standard of accomodation, but that room really looked like the abandoned prison I saw in Cambodia! Being a Malaysian, I was sorely disappointed.However, the room that I upgraded to, the RM70 per night, was spotlessly clean with new curtains, new bedding and attached bathroom. The room was cosy and smelt fresh.
The only improvement I would suggest is to add some hooks or hangers in the bathroom to at least be able to hang a towel.

* By taxi - just tell the taxi driver to drop you at B&B Inn Jalan Tabuan, next to Borneo Hotel.
* By bus - ( Service suspended since 1st March 2009) STC bus number 8A, cost RM4.00 per person, bus service start from 8am to 5pm. just inform the driver to drop you at B&B Inn.
