A great place to stay if you're on a budget. Good location right near historical Jonker Street. Rooftop bbq/meeting was great. Enjoyed my stay. Dorm beds could be improved, however.
Ringo's Foyer is a warm corner in a strange place, a home away from home where you can meet new friends from all over. Add to that good location and great hosts, Howard and Sam, who go out of their way to make your visit most enjoyable.
Great hostel, best staff possible. I recommend it to everyone open to meeting great people. Not luxurious, but cheap. People that search friendliness & fun are at the right place here. People that always complain should stay away, there is probably enough to complain about. We absolutely loved it. Thanks Howard, Sam & Trace for the hospitality, bbq and guiding. Freek & Irena

howard is awersome. we did a bike tour at night and he didn't charge us for that. also took us to some nice places for dinner and explained a lot about the different dishes. it was really nice to stay there, he really makes you feel comportable. the rooftop is nice and you can have a sunbath there. all in all a very good value for the money.
Good location, awesome receptionist (Howard). He gave us many tips and even showed us around in Melaka for good places to eat and other stuff. The rooms weren't that nice, but for the price they were good. To sum it up; cheap, cheap rooms but an extremely good service from the staff.
I like the card based security gate feature on my first step to the guest house, you do not need to fumble with the lock and key coming back after a late night out. Bed is clean without bugs and room is well ventilated with exhaust and fan. Also, there is freely available water dispenser just outside the room. There's also a rooftop for suntan, cool!
Location is good and Jonker walk is just a min's walk down the road. Best of all is your friendly host! Join Howard and the other fellow backpackers on a dinner outing and he will bring you to have the best local food. He also goes out of the way to provide advice on your travel plans after Melaka.
Overall a very pleasant stay, definitely good value for your money.
