Definitely value for money. Clean, safe, with good facilities. Free breakfast too. It is a bus ride from the beach but the bus runs frequently and is pretty cheap (7.50 MN)

A jewel of mexican arquitecture..........all rooms are distinctive in design and color including spacious areas with high ceilings, arched doorways and large arched windows.
All private rooms include a private balcony, terrace or garden patio, airconditioning, ceiling fans, full private bath, cable tv, wireless internet access 24/7, room service on request.
THE DORM ROOM HAS NEW BEDS, NEW FLOORS, NEW WALLS FOR YOUR COMFORT........
Our dorm is located on the second floor insuring a quiet nights sleep.
Originally this space was a rehearsal studio creating large shows with trapeze acts, musicians, dancers, and acrobats of the company BIRDS OF PARADISE. The oversized room is airconditioned, with wide open spaces, large windows, and extra high dorm beds. The bathroom is conveniently ensuite and confortably designed for men or women.

Don't get caught with the "private bathroom" scam. You have to walk down a corridor and through the dorm where people are sleeping to get to your private bathroom........ Plus rude service.
Plus the rooms look nothing like the pictures. So we end up staying at this amazing hotel called Girasoles which was 2 blocks and to top it all off, it was $10 cheaper.

Directions
Walking directions:
From the ADO/main bus terminal (located on the North West corner of Calle de Tulum and Calle de Uxmal),go South on Calle de Tulum for about 5 minutes, then turn right at Calle de los Tulipanes. You will see many restaurants on this street. Then you will walk into Parque Las Palapas (a park with a big stage). Turn left at the park and follow the street until you hit a small parking lot. Across the parking lot, you will see another small park called Parque del Arte. Walk through this small park and we are located on the other side, with "Quetzal Hostel" above the doorway.
If you are arriving by shuttle or taxi, please give them the address below.
Our address is Orquideas 10, mz 14, sm 22. We have grafitti art all along our wall.
