Latest Review for Hotel Margaritas
I found this to be a good stopover hotel when I stayed in 2008, but in May 2009 it was CLOSED for renovation. However, they are accomodating guests at the Radisson which is the same owners....they are offering the same rates as the Margaritas, which ends up being a great deal if you want a hotel in Cancun city.
Both Margaritas and the Radisson have membership at a beachclub in the hotel zone which is really nice, the shuttle can take you there and back to spend the day.

We are the most comfortable of all 3-star hotels, just 20 minutes away from Cancun International Airport. The hotel is located on Yaxchilan Ave., only 5 blocks from the Bus Station (buses to Airport, Merida, Playa del Carmen and archeological areas), close to Walmart, Burger King, Mc Donalds, Hospiten and local attractions such as, Market 28 (handcraft), Plaza Las Américas (shopping mall and cinemas), the City Hall (Ayuntamiento), banks, restaurants, sports bar, Bullring and Baseball stadium.

Both Margaritas and the Radisson have membership at a beachclub in the hotel zone which is really nice, the shuttle can take you there and back to spend the day. The club has a bar, big pool, great views. Staying in the city is best if you have buses to catch, business to get done, but then you can enjoy the beach for a day at a much cheaper price than by staying in the hotel zone.
