We show on the Lonely Planet 2009 and the Let's Go 2008.
We, owners, manage our place by ourself, and show a constant effort to please our customers, either on cleanliness, to-do tips or commodities.
We are quite flexible and make our best to fit your needs if we can.
For individuals, we provide a comfortable, safe and lean dormitory with pine wood beds made from the Sierra Tarahumara
For 2 people who do not want to share their bedroom with anyone, we offer a cosy little bedroom.
For families and small groups, we provide a room of 4 individual beds where up to 8 people can actually sleep comfortably
For large groups between 15 and 20 people, we can even block the whole hostel, availability permitting.
We do not provide any kitchen because the small restaurants in Chihuahua are great and super cheap.
That said, you can order some local fastcfood like a torta, amazingly good, cheap and not spicy -, sit comfortably on a large pouf and watch the movie of your choice on our huge home cinema.
Something you won't find frequently on your trip : we heavily invested on the water system and consequently have a high-pressurised and - very .- hot water, meaning that yes, you can at last wash your long hair !
Our bathrooms are individual, brand new, cleaned several times a day. For obvious hygienic reasons, WC are separated from the bathrooms.
We continuously gather the best adresses in town for vegetarians, for fresh juices lovers, or for a great but cheap dinner on a terrasse surrounded by music, at a mere 5 minutes walk from the hostel
Chihuahua is definitely not a touristic place, and we want you to like it for the same reason. Everything you will see here is 100 pct authentic, like Marlboro-style cowboys or Tarahumaras Indians, like colourful boots shops, like 'mole' cooking, and so much more.
People are warm but won't jump on you to get a byte of money. Show them some respect though by using small amount of pesos instead of US dollars.
We are choosen to locate right across the train station to the Copper Canyon because the trains either leave very early (6 am and 7 am) or arrive very late (10 pm and 11 pm or later).
This is a safe and quiet area, with lots of public parking place, but we are still close to the center area, as all you need is a nice 5 minutes walk from our hostel.
We sell coffee and tea the whole day long, we have free wireless Internet, a 50 pesos laundry service (soap / washing / drying in less than 1 hour).
Our marketing niche is a clean, quiet and safe heaven offering the potential for a great night of sleep.
So... we do not allow alcohol inside (you can have alcohol in any bar or restaurant, no problem, but you cannot get back drunk at night)
Couples hoping for a torrid night should look for another place as our hostel is too compact for these activities,
We do not welcome majijuana lovers,
W are not - and we do not intend to be - the cheapest place around neither. But we sure offer a cosy and clean safe-heaven for the genuine traveller.
