At Posada Morelos Hostel, we have 8 spacious and comfortable rooms with new facilities (April 2007), with full bathroom in each room, hot water, laundry, BBQ area, a large living room, Cable TV, internet WiFi, beautiful garden and catering area. You will enjoy every morning the visit of parrots and birds, which visit our Zapote tree in our garden during spring and summer time. Our Zapote tree is more than 90 years old..!!.
Posada Morelos is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit all the cultural places, and recreative gardens in the center of the City, Cuernavaca. It isn't expensive at all, and is clean, and comfty, the only trouble, if you are a bit strict, is that the entrance isn't easy to find among all the stores and people going around buying and selling things..., but except for that, everything is right with the place!
This is your place if you are looking for some inexpensive accomodation in the overpriced and overrated Cuernavaca city. Posada Morelos is located in downtown, so it basically caters for those who really want to stay close to the Zocalo, for the right price. Just 10min walk from the bus station, aint´worth paying for a taxi. The place feels quite safe, spotless room, TV with 25 channels, hot water in bathroom (make sure you understand how the boiler works), yet the matress can be quite hard. There is also a small swimming pool, but I didnt use it. Do not take room 1, unless you want to try the experience of washing your armpits while taking a shit (the WC is INSIDE the shower, never saw that before). Neighbourhood can get creepy after 10pm, worth a taxi in that situation, cant cost you more than USD 3-5 though. Do not leave Cuernavaca before having breakfast at The Universal, opposite the Zocalo, best omellettes in town. For a fancier experience (and a double price), try the yellow gourmet restaurant with balconies, opposite Palacio de Cortes´ main entrance.
