From the Oaxaca city airport:
You have to take collective transport, usually a 'van' transport. Tickets are sold inside the airport and they will know the location ('Mina' street between 'Diaz Ordaz' and 'Mier y Teran' streets).
Another way from airport would be to contact us (subject to availability - very limited but you can try) . You have to request this by e-mail, sending your arrival details (all details to make it easier). We have to confirm to you in advance if available (**!** this confirmation is important). Per person rates in USD, or in the MXN pesos equivalent:
1 p = 10 USD (Total: 10 USD)
2 p = 5 USD (Total: 10 USD)
3 p = 4 USD (Total: 12 USD)
4 p = 3.50 USD (Total: 14 USD)
5 p = 3 USD (Total: 15 USD)
From the first class bus station (main bus station, ADO and OCC buses which come from all over the country):
Take a Taxi (at any hour, the taxi will cost APPROXIMATELY $3 USD -about $35 to $40 MXN pesos-, it depends on your negotiation skills and also your spanish knowledge).
Other way is to take public-urban transport (bus - aprox $ 4.50 MXN pesos) two blocks walking from the bus station to 'Avenida Juárez'. The bus has to be 'ARTEAGA', 'CENTRAL DE ABASTOS' and/or 'CENTRAL' direction. This would be the easiest and the cheapest way of getting to the hostel because it would leave you at the hostel door. Of course, problems may arise if you have too many or too heavy baggage to get to the 'Avenida Juárez'. You should tell the chauffeur (in spanish) that you need to take off at 'Mina' street on the 'Diaz Ordaz' junction cross corner. Obviously, these kind of buses only work during business hours (8am to 9pm). Remember, for this you need the spanish. Try it, why not to practice?
From the AU bus station on the Periferico:
Just walk two blocks (about 2 or 3 minutes slow walking) heading to the hostel direction. Only recommendation here is, please, careful when crossing the street if you are not used to mexican-style way of driving.
