***While the hostel is only a 15 minute taxi ride from the Zocalo (downtown), its relatively remote location means that finding it on your own can be difficult. Please contact us before you arrive and we will give the best driving instructions we can, or hook you up with a knowledgable taxi service (most Oaxacan taxi drivers will find the hostel without a hitch, if given the exact address).***
Once you are at the hostel you can get to the town center to enjoy the many fine museums, restaurants, and other tourist attractions either by taking a taxi direct from the hostel (for about US$4) or by walking to the bus stop at the bottom of the hill (about a 10 minute walk, followed by a 10-15 minute bus ride that costs almost nothing). Doing the entire distance on foot will take about 40-60 minutes, depending on your fitness level. Ask us to show you the more scenic route on our map in the reception
We look forward to meeting you!

What a wonderful place!! This hostel is absolutely beautiful -- cute little bungalows with hammocks and plants, several room types available, comfy beds, nice big bathrooms and showers, yummy food. It even has a pool! It's true that it's not right in the city center like many hostels but, really, it was a very short and cheap cab ride to downtown (like 5 minutes, 50pesos to get there). And being a bit far away has the upside of really calm, quiet nights. It's up on a hill with a nice view of the whole surrounding area too.
It is a REALLY friendly place. It is family run and everyone there is so happy to help you and seems to be having a good time themselves. I highly recommend this hostel. No complaints from me!
Very friendly and safe family-run hostal. It`s not in the city center but easely reached by taxi for (no more) than 50 pesos one way. Make sure the driver knows where he goes.
Once there you`ll enjoy the peace of not being in the city center. Food is good and cheap. Breaktfast and dinner. Small lokal shop is nearby. I will recommend this place very much. I`ll stay there again when I`m in Oaxaca.
