Internet Access 24 hour reception
Angela's Hotel & Hostel moved house in January/ February, 2007. Still in the heart of Zihuatanejo, the hostel is now located at 25 Mangos St., on the corner of Mangos and Palmas Streets. This is in the market district, one block behind the central market building (mercado municipal). Please make a careful note of this new address, as some taxi drivers still don't know where we moved.
'Angela's' new home is a modern building -- clean, airy, bright and secure. It features six private rooms, all with ensuite bath and hot water availabilty. One room features one double bed and an 'up-down' bunk bed, suitable for parties of three. Rooms with balcony/ air conditioning are available on request.
There is also a four-bed mixed dorm and a six-bed mixed dorm, plus a clean, bright, well-appointed communal kitchen. There is also a four bdrm apartment available. Contact us for details.
Angela's Hostel is centrally located, and not more than a three-minute walk to the market, banks, area bus station (Troncones, Barra de Potosi, etc.), airport shuttle bus, taxis, two internet cafes and a 24-hr. medical clinic. An 8-minute walk gets you to the beach.
Hosts Gregg (Canada) and Angela (Mexico) first opened 'Angela's Hotel & Hostel' in 2002. Seven years experience offering clean, reasonably-priced accomodation to travellers and vacationers alike, in a friendly and helpful atmosphere has repeatedly earned 'Angela's Hostel' positive reviews in travel guides, and a recent 'Top Hostel' certification from Hostelworld.
At ' Angela's,' we know that visitors appreciate receiving accurate and up-to-date information about the area. Want info on surfing spots and dive shops? Scooter rentals or horseback riding? How to save 24 bucks getting in from the airport?! Ask us.... we´ve got the details on what's hot and what's not, by day or night around 'Zihua'.
For the convenience of travellers arriving on a night bus, remember Angela's Hostel offers 24-hr. reception.
And also: in-lobby, pay-for WiFi, available 10am-8pm.
Please note that due to cancellations and 'no-shows,' private rooms and dorm beds may be available although not shown on this site. And, while the reservation system in Ireland accepts credit cards, Angelas`s Hostel accepts full payment -- on arrival -- in Mexican pesos only, por favor. Check-in is 3 p.m., usually earlier. Cancellation charges may be levied for early check-outs.
One final note. Angela's Hostel continues to be plagued by an imposter named 'David,' who represents himself in telephone conversations as being 'Angela's Hostel.' If calling our hostel, use the telephone number posted in current travel guides, not that listed in outdated guides, to avoid disappointment or even fraud.
Muchas Gracias

Now located at 25 Mangos Street (corner of Mangos and Palmas Streets) two short blocks behind the municipal market in downtown Zihuatanejo.
Walking from the interstate/regional bus terminal (Estrella Blanca, etc) takes 20 minutes; just head for the market, shown on all maps. If you opt for a taxi (18 pesos) tell the driver 'esquina Mangos con Palmas,' or 'frente del Remate,' (a well-known textile house and local landmark.) Or you can say 'antes Posada Coral,' the former name of our building. Many drivers will know.....but have our address at 25 calle Mangos to hand, just in case!
Arriving from the airport, DO NOT pay for a taxi inside the airport terminal -- there's a much cheaper way into town! Leave the terminal and walk 200 metres diagonally across the airport parking lot. At the road entrance there is a busstop. White-and-purple Nissan combi vans arrive there every 5 minutes and will take you into town for less than a dollar. At the end of the run the combi van will leave you right downtown opposite the central market (mercado municipal). Look for the red Santandar Bank sign; the bank sits on Mangos St. Just walk up Mangos two minutes and you'll soon see the hostel signs.
If arriving by bus (Autotransportes de las Dos Costas) from Troncones, La Saladita or Barra de Potosi, you are a two-minute walk from Angela's Hostel; just turn right as you leave the station and walk two blocks.
Easy. Verdad?
