My experience at this hotel was horrifying.starting with their refusal to pick me up from the aiport according to our agreement .I arrived there dead tired after 25 hours of flight,and instead of the nice ensuite i have booked and payed online i got a dirty stinky budget room with no lock and running water.a nightmare.The manager was not cooperating at all when i complained and asked for an alternative and hardly provided me transport to seek another hotel.at midnight!
i will definitely never go back there.

NAMASTE! A family run Boutique Hotel in the centre of Thamel welcome you with a warm Nepalese HOSPITALITIES which you will feel up on arrival at Kathmandu Airport.

We do have nice garden with lots of plants and seasonal flowers, free WIFI, complementary computers to use with speed INTERNET and AIRPORT PICK UP will be arrange with reasonable price. We have 36 rooms with different categories based on facilities provided in the room, whether you are a backpacker or the family on relax holidays we do have Deluxe Rooms with MINI BAR. All prices are all TAX included.

Arrange your complementary airport pick on request while booking and request to provide your flight details please, and the driver will show your name up on arrival in the airport. Would you like to have travel information our travel consultant at travel office will help you on arrival next to the reception? No problem! It does not cost you any money and use public transport to get around from there! You will find the taxi or riksaws stop which will take you to the city tour only 50 meters from the hotel. Majors restaurants bars and pubs of the city are only a 4-minute walk away.

The hotel offers 36 different characters rooms all well equipped with a range of facilities and you can choose your room from 7 rooms are balcony with valley view, 16 rooms are garden facing on your preference,Hotel Encounter Nepal also offers a restaurant, renovated in 2009, with bar and sunny area, FREE WiFi, computers, 24 hours security, free high-speed Internet and free parking in front of the hotel. 25 rooms offers AC, 24 hours of electric back up with big generators although there there is 14 hours of power cut in Kathmandu.
