Please note you will have to pay in cash upon arrival as we do not accept credit cards, ATM's and banks are a short walk away, Please note that your full balance due is payable on arrival.

We do not accept group bookings of 6 people or more
Bookings made under different names will be canceled !

Prices do not include the 5% city tax.

Please note that 5% tourist tax needs to be paid on the top of the balance on arrival.

Please take note that we have lock out time from 12:00 to 14:30 for cleaning (of course, it is possible to check in during this time)

If you are more than one hour late with out advising the hostel it will be presummed that you are not arriving.

Cancellation must occur 72 hours before the check-in date and any booking cancelled after this time will be subject to a no show fee equivalent to one night's stay.

Please note that we accept cash only for payment on arrival .

Upon arrival you will be asked to pay the full amount for the whole duration of your stay.

On arrival it is not possible to cancel your booking.

All nights of accommodation must be paid for on arrival or no later than 21:00 hrs. the day before.

Our hostel is also the permanent residence of Simba, the house cat. Any guest who may be allergic to cats should be mindful of this before booking their stay with us here at Amsterdam Hostel Cosmos .

The Cosmos Hotel request that all customers confirm their booking one day in advance of arrival.
If you are more than one hour late with out advising the hostel it will be presummed that you are not arriving.

In case of a No-show, your credit card is charged for the 1st night of your stay, the rest of that booking will be canceled.

To preserve and maintain our laid-back & smooth atmosphere we do not allow: Persons under 18 years of age or above 35, pets, any bookings of stag nights, hen nights or sport tours, soccer fans for (inter)national matches and large groups of males ( 6 persons or more). Read the above carefully because in the event of a false booking, there will be no check in nor will there be a refund.

We make every effort to accommodate you in the dormitory size of your choice. However, because of the nature of our business, we may have to place you in a different sized dormitory. As a result the balance to be paid upon arrival can be slightly different than what is stated on your confirmation.

After making the reservation you will receive an e-mail with your booking details and confirmation number. Make sure you bring this confirmation with you to the hostel . Otherwise reservation confusion will be at your own responsibility.

If you do not receive this confirmation from us you do not have a booking!

Directions

From the airport take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station:

Walk out of the station and walk over to the Victoria hotel. When you are facing the Victoria hotel, you turn right and you go into the second street on the left named 'Martelaars Gracht'. Follow the Martelaars Gracht in to the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.

After passing 8 alley's (small streets) on your left hand you will see our street: the 'Nieuwe Nieuwstraat' go in this alley you are now in the 'Nieuwe Nieuwstraat', you will find us at number 17.

By tram (metro) A single ticket costs you € 1.60

When you get to CS, you walk outside the station and you will find trams. The following trams will take you straight to the hostel: tramline 1, 2, 5, 13 and 17
The stop is called ` Nieuwezijds Kolk' You have to cross the street and walk toward Hotel Convent the Nieuwe Nieuwstraat is between Hotel Convent and Japanese Restaurant Kobe, we are in the Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 17.

From Eurolines bus station:

The Eurolines bus station is next to the Amstel Station. From the Amstel Station take metro 51, 53 or 54 to Amsterdam Centraal Station (one travel zone).

Airport

Trains between Schiphol and Central Station depart about every 10 minutes between 6am and 1am, and once every hour between 1am and 6am.

A one way ticket will cost you € 3.20 from a vending machine, you will need some coins though. Trains to Amsterdam Centraal Station generally depart from platform 1 or 2. On www.ns.nl you can find all information on travel times and prices in English.
