From now, all of our accommodation has heating (inclusive or optional).

Our campground & hostel is ideally located on the verge of Amsterdam, only about 30 minutes from the fantastic city centre. It’s a beautiful location for a city campground, in the middle of the vivid heart of Holland. Yet this is a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy nature by having a nice walk around or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.

Our hiker’s cabins are basic, small wooden houses, suitable for two, four or five persons. They are equipped with either two singles (the two-person cabins) or two bunk beds (the four-person cabins). The five-person cabins have two bunk beds and one single bed. Besides that, the cabins are fitted out with a table and chairs and one electric socket (two ampere). Heating is optional.

Our camping chalets are well isolated chalets with four bunk beds, so they’re suitable for a maximum of eight persons. There’s also cupboards, a table and chairs. There is one electric socket (two ampere) and heating is also possible (optional).

Our very new Chalets Florida (from November 2011) are the stars of our campsite. These are chalets, suitable for four-to-six people, and come complete with kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms (two with two bunk beds and one with two single beds). These non-smoking chalets have central heating. Your home away from home!

At the campsite you will find free parking, bed linen and towels for rent plus free maps and guides.

Also in our beautiful green grounds you will find a big kitchen; please note there is no fridge. You can buy your ingredients at our minimarket!

We’re open 24hrs with a huge common room where you can chill out and meet your fellow travellers or surf the web with your laptop/phone and our free Wi-Fi. If you’re not in the mood, you also have Wi-Fi in your room.

All of our sanitary buildings are new and heated and we also have washing/drying machines available. The hot showers work with tokens that you can buy at reception.

Our accommodation are supplied with free pillows and blankets; bed linen/towels can be rented or bring your own.

Our campsite is easily reached by public transport with the metro (15 minutes’ walk away) and the bus. There’s also a night bus every night!!

Please note that pets are not allowed in the accommodation. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.

For bookings with arrival and departure between 9th December 2013 and 1st March 2014, heating is free!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was cute and perfect for a camping style stay in a nice location. We found the owner a little short with us when we arrived, we would have liked him to have told us quickly that you need to buy tokens for the shower and toilet paper. He warmed up quickly though and became very friendly.
The bikes are really good and easy to ride, we had a great evening cycling to a nearby restaurant so would highly recommend hiring bikes.
The price of the accommodation is very reasonable and affordable.
Thanks for our stay we will recommend this place to our friends in New Zealand.

Beautiful place! Quit and clean.
The only dirty place was our room, since you have to go out side to either go to the toilet, shower or kitchen, but that's all on us!
And although its far from Amsterdam center, very easily accessibly by metro.

Great stay, thank you.

Me and my 13 friends hired a 6-person bungalow and an 8-person chalet between 24.06 – 27.06.2011. We paid a full price for both accommodations, which we left tidy. We hardly spent any time at the camping as most of the time we were out. According to the rules of the camping the check out should happen before 11 am. 10 of my friends were leaving on Monday 27th at 8.30 am and me with my boyfriend and 1 friend were planning to leave before 11 am.

When we went to the reception at 8.30 I kindly asked the man at the reception to swap the documents for the bungalow. I explained him that 4 people from bungalow are leaving now (one of them had her driving licence in the reception) and 2 are leaving later. Therefore I offered to leave my passport for another 2 hours so my friend who was leaving at that time could take her driving licence. Meantime other friends from the chalet were gathering outside and the person who left the document for the chalet was still inside the chalet and was planning to leave with us before 11. When I asked if I could swap the documents for the bungalow the owner suddenly changed his polite behaviour and started shouting at me and counting the people gathering outside. I explained him that 4 of them are from the bungalow and 7 are from the chalet and they are leaving now. He even didn’t want to listen to me and started shouting racist comments into my face such as: “you stupid Polish”, “you Polish idiot”. I kindly asked him to calm down and explained that 11 people outside are not from the 6-person bungalow but he wouldn’t listen. He kept screaming at us and gesticulating with hands, I was so afraid that he would hit me! He screamed: “I am calling the police”. My question was why if it was the owner who was brutal and harassing us, we were calm and did nothing wrong. I told him: “I want you to call the police” as I knew that we did nothing wrong and the police would help us, but he didn’t call. He kept screaming: “get out of my camping now!!”. I was still wearing my pyjamas, I didn’t have any breakfast and a shower as I planed to leave in 2 hours time.
Please bear in mind that we didn’t visit a private house where the owner could kick us out. We visited a public camping and paid for the accommodation for 14 people in a bungalow and in a chalet so we were guests. The staff should look after us, as this is their job! Instead of that 2 hours before the check out when we only kindly asked to swap the documents the owner harassed us with racist comments, kicked us out of the camping and for the money we paid I wasn’t even allowed to have a shower and breakfast before leaving. I was given 30 seconds to pack up my clothes. What is more the owner wouldn’t stop shouting like he was in a madness, he was screaming to us: “shout up” every time I wanted to ask him why or what has happened that he treated us like that.

The man was extremely rude, almost brutal. He crossed a line then. He didn’t care about our rights as quests and people. Not only he broke the human rules, but also EU rules as well as camping rules!

If we did something wrong I still wouldn’t accept his disgusting behaviour and abuse but we paid for the accommodation for the bungalow and for the chalet, we left them tidy, we were quiet and there was no a single complaint about us. Nevertheless the owner treated us like dogs, gave me literally 30 seconds to pack up my clothes, no chance to have a shower or eat some food before leaving. Never in my life I experienced something like this! Such a racist tyrant should never work in hospitability industry, especially hosting people from different courtiers. After this experience I was left in trauma and tears with no explanation or reason.

Nice camp site, WAAAAY too far out of town for my liking; Stayed for 9 days, each day spending 50 mins travelling into town and again to get back. Would be perfect for a night of two stay, not for the longhaul.

We were desapointed ....
Not for the fact that there is a bus just in front of the Camping. Not for the facilities ... But for the room : The fact that the heating was paying was not said in internet, the paper announcing it was hiden behind the window. So we were frizing all the night. There was no linen and we didn't know it ...
The supermarket was awfully ampty, no orange juice, no bread, no milk... Only nutella, jam, .. Ok but what if there's no bread ? So nothing for the breakfast. But there was pasta, rice, salsas and other things like that. The price was a little too high for a Twin Room, without heating, without having the right to eat in, no linen ... and some insects on the floor . And prevent us that the shower is not free.... That was a bad surprise.

But, we were very happy to see the kitchen, THE good point of the place, very great service, some plates, bowls and things to cook are disponible and that was good to see that we could drink our coffee on the morning because we went only for 2 days and didn't want to bring a lot of things.

It was good to have a bed ... But it will be VERY better having these informations before leaving, we would choose another place, a real hotel.

And, te location is so beautiful, in the hoods all these little houses in the hoods, it was great to see it with the sun rising on .
