This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We were desapointed ....
Not for the fact that there is a bus just in front of the Camping. Not for the facilities ... But for the room : The fact that the heating was paying was not said in internet, the paper announcing it was hiden behind the window. So we were frizing all the night. There was no linen and we didn't know it ...
The supermarket was awfully ampty, no orange juice, no bread, no milk... Only nutella, jam, .... more

The campground is ideally situated on the verge off Amsterdam, only about 25 minutes from the fantastic city centre of Amsterdam. It's a beautiful location for a city campground: in the middle of the vivid hart of Holland and yet in a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy yourself by having a nice walk, or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.
Due to some recent traffic changes we now are easily reached by metro/sneltram 51 (subway) (see the added map). There is also a bus (199) stop right in front of the campsite which will bring you in 3 minutes to the metro (or 15 minutes walk) or in 15 minutes to our national airport (Schiphol)
EVERY NIGHT A NIGHT BUS! (N70 or N72)

The supermarket was awfully ampty, no orange juice, no bread, no milk... Only nutella, jam, .. Ok but what if there's no bread ? So nothing for the breakfast. But there was pasta, rice, salsas and other things like that. The price was a little too high for a Twin Room, without heating, without having the right to eat in, no linen ... and some insects on the floor . And prevent us that the shower is not free.... That was a bad surprise. But, we were very happy to see the kitchen, THE good point of the place, very great service, some plates, bowls and things to cook are disponible and that was good to see that we could drink our coffee on the morning because we went only for 2 days and didn't want to bring a lot of things.
It was good to have a bed ... But it will be VERY better having these informations before leaving, we would choose another place, a real hotel.
And, te location is so beautiful, in the hoods all these little houses in the hoods, it was great to see it with the sun rising on .

Until the end of August you should take bus 172 from Central Station (direction 'Kudelstaart') and change at 'Sacharovlaan' into bus 199 (direction 'Schiphol'), it will bring you in 2 - 3 minutes to the campsite (or you can walk from there in about 15 minutes but then you'll need to print the map)
These are some possibilities to reach us from central station:
- metro/sneltram 51 (subway), you go of at Sacharovlaan where you take bus 199 (direction 'Schiphol', in 3 minutes you are at stop 'Camping Amsterdamse Bos') or go of at Spinnerij and from there it's 15 minutes walk (print the map if you want to do this!)
- take bus 172 from Central Station (direction 'Kudelstaart') and change at 'Amstelveen Bus Station' in bus 171, go of at 'Bovenkerk, Schinkeldijkje', from there it's 10 minutes walk (see map)
From the airport (Schiphol) we are also very easily to reach: just take bus 199 direction WTC. (it takes about 15 minutes) The bus stop is right in front of the campsite.
For the bus you need a 'stripe card', it's much cheaper to buy a card in a shop (supermarket, tobacco, bookshops etc) or station. To get to the campsite you need 5 stripes which is about EURO 2.45. if you go by metro or tram you need an 'OV-chip card' which you can buy at the (metro) station.
Coming by Car:
