All Cancellations need to be emailed to the hotel 48 hours before arrival date and not arrival time.
Failure to do so will result in a 100% charge of the total amount. Cancellations and changes on and after the arrival date will be charged 100%.

For all public holidays, ALL CANCELLATIONS, regardless of arrival date, are required to be emailed to the Euphemia Hotel 2 x weeks prior to arrival date (not arrival time) failure to do so will incur a 100% charge.

We will pre authorize your credit card before arrival according to the cancellation policy. Authorization means that we ask the credit card company to block an amount on your credit card (normally equal to the cancellation fee). This amount is normally valid for a few weeks, thereafter it is automatically released back into your account (depending on the credit card company and the country). We have no control over the release process. If the name on the reservation does not match the name of the credit card holder you will be notified that we may require a scanned copy of the passport of the given credit card holder. The hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation if we do not get authorization on the given credit card. Reservations for longer than 7 nights will be charged 100% in advance.

City tax of 5.5% is not included in our rates and shall be added to the room price upon arrival. Guests are required to pay on arrival with cash, credit or debit card. There is a 5% surcharge if paying with a credit/debit card. This is a non-smoking premises. Smoking in the hotel will result in a 100 Euro fine.

Can I add an extra bed?

We do not have direct access to the contact details of accommodations listed on our site. When you make a booking, a direct contact email address and phone number is sent to you as part of your booking confirmation so you can make changes, arrange transfers, etc.

We offer good, comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi.

We have one-, two-, three-, four-, five-, six- and 10-bed rooms, divided across 4 floors (no lift). Most of the rooms have private facilities; the shared rooms have facilities in the corridor.

The Euphemia was formerly a monastery built at the turn of the century. It’s in close proximity to all the main tourist attractions within the city center, such as the Heineken Brewery, Leidseplein, the nightlife area and the museums. Due to our location on a quiet side street, one is able to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We’re also easily accessible from Central Station.

In the morning we serve a simple a la carte breakfast €.3,- to €5, served from 8am to 11am. We also have a vending machine for hot and cold drinks.

The lounge is open during reception hours (8am-11pm). Here you can spend your afternoon writing postcards, meeting other travelers, watching TV or using our free Wi-Fi.

Very nice stay. Friendly people. Clean place. Helpful staff. We could leave our bags after we checked out.
Good location, near enough to the centre but away from the noise.
one flaw: the facilities: only one shower cabin and toilet per floor and the beds make a lot of loud squiki noises whenever you move a little.
Overall: i would recommend it.
