About Eve's Guesthouse
Eve's guesthouse offers three comfortable B&B guestrooms situated in the heart of the historical centre.
All the double rooms are provided with private bathroom included shower, toilet and towels. Cable-tv and wireless internet are at present, just ask us for your password.
Your stay includes a typical Dutch breakfast in the cosy breakfast room, served every morning between 9.00 and 10.00. Soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee and tea are available against a small fee, 24 hrs a day.
The guesthouse is ideally located to visit Amsterdam; within a 100 meters from the Dam Square and the Royal Palace, the Central Station and main shopping area. The Canal Area starts right around the corner. And the Jordaan district, the Anne Frank House, the Floating Flowermarket are within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.
A choice of many restaurants with meals from all over the world will be found in and nearby our street. The small bars and Amsterdam Nightlife are around, just close and far enough!
In the giftshop downstairs the guesthouse there is a official Tourist Board agency with all information you need about Amsterdam.
When you arrive at Schiphol airport the best and cheapest way to get to the guesthouse is by train.
For late arrivals you also can book our airport pick-up. Our drivers will meet you at the gate and bring you all the way to your room. Booking instructions you will find in the confirmation that we will send to you within 48 hours after your booking is processed.

Check-in possible from 11.00 - till 18.00 (check in after 18.00 only possible after consulting our staff).
Exact check-in time is confirmed upon receipt of your booking with a detailed reconfirmation giving the exact check-in address.
Since 01-01-2009 the complete B&B is non-smoking. Dealing in or use off both soft and hard drugs prohibited.
Please note there is no elevator - as it is a historical building - there are 2 stairs (13 steps each) to climb. we gladly assist you with your luggage of course.
Check-out: 10.30 (AM) latest. Delayed check-out possible on request, depending on availability.

Eve's guesthouse was recommended to us by a friend who had stopped there and is a lovely place to stay. Me and my friend (both in our early twenties) stayed for four nights and both really liked the hostel. It was in a great location, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room itself was spacious with lots of additional items we wouldn't automatically expect from a hostel (towels, tv, hairdryer, lots of information leaflets in the desk). The bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Breakfast was served between 9 and 10.30 so you don't have to rush to get up and tea, coffee, water, beer and cola are all available in the fridge in the kitchen at all times, with an honesty jar to pay for them.
The room got very hot so the windows had to be wide open whenever we were in, which meant it could be a little bit noisy at points in the night but not constantly and not compared to the city centre.
We didn't really use the trams as we preferred to walk and the station is a ten minute walk from the hostel, if that. Trains to and from the airport were frequent and cheap (just over four euros).
The only slight negative I would have about this hostel would be that we stayed for four nights and the bins in our room and bathroom weren't emptied once. I usually find this is done at hostels and was a little disappointed it wasn't. Other than that, I would highly recommend Eve's hostel and would stay there again if I plan a trip to Amsterdam!
Like another review said, you don't really see the owners at all once you check in but they let you know they are in their office if you need them.

The host is very nice and the price is reasonable. The room is clean but the air in the room is bad because of the toilet. Except for the breakfast is late served, everything is fine.

Having stayed in Amsterdam before it was easy to find Eve's with the directions supplied.
We were warmly welcomed and helped up the stairs with our cases. Yes they were steep but that had been pointed out before booking.
The room was clean, lovely big opening windows and a great selection of English TV channels.
How many places can you just open your door and walk straight into the Breakfast room and kitchen where you could help yourself to cold drinks from the fridge for a small fee.
Very handy central location, a few minutes walk to tram stop. Suggest you get a travel card which allows 24,48,72 hours use of public transport.
On checkout it was no problem to leave cases for pick up later.
Amsterdam in the Spring is stunning. the blossom falling from the trees like snow, and Keukenhof Gardens the Tulips are totally amazing.
Would certainly look to book at Eve's again when planning our next dutch trip.

Great place, would definatley stay there again!
Very friendly staff. Really nice room, bathroom, really nice breakfast. We had a great time. The little token of a tiny pair of clogs as a gift was a small but memorable one. We would thoroughly recommend Eve's Guesthouse.

Room was a good size. Carpet was badly stained, but the room was clean. Once you get your room, you are on your own. There is no contact with anyone, except at breakfast if you are there when they are there. There were two flights of very steep winding steps that led to the room.

it was a wonderful place to stay,near the city and all the things to see...we would like to come again.clean,friendly and charming.
Great place to stay, loved the location. Ease of access to all Amsterdam attractions. Rooms were good size and bright in decor. Only negative is a dog belonging to another person staying in guesthouse done quite alot of barking. But enjoyed stay and would recommend.
