The Hans-Brinker is one of Amsterdams most famous hostels...otherwise known as 'The Most XXXclusive Budget Hotel' Here you will find: NO PARKING, NO SAUNA, NO BELLBOYS, NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO MINIBARS, NO ROOM SERVICE....but you will find

clean basic rooms in central Amsterdam...

The hotel is located at the Kerkstraat. Is a nice street in Amsterdam close to the lively square of Leidseplein.

The Location in is in the middle of center were many bars, restaurants and clubs are located!

Hostel Conditions

Please notice that you must enter an arrival time, if you arrive later contact us by phone so we can hold your reservation!!!

If you don't show, we have the right to charge you for one night. We take to money off the creditcard you used to make the booking.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The dorm rooms are pretty simple with different numbers of beds in the different rooms. Each bedroom has a toilet and shower room attached to it. The quality of the showers are questionable, but they do normally work.

The rooms have lockers for each bed.

Common Spaces

The ground floor of the hostel consists of different common spaces. A 24 hours reception and free luggage room. Also a big chill area with bar and restaurant. There are no kitchens for personal cooking, but our restaurant offers meals for a normal price. There is also a disco downstairs that stays open till 3 or 4 in the morning. Also free internet is available in the basement.

There is a smoking outside area inside the hostel. .

Summary

In short, this is a very good money for value hostel, and promises a very pleasant stay and a good and happy feeling for the duration of your stay. We would happily recommend it to anyone.

Conditions

You must arrive before 12 noon otherwise you have to call us on arrivalday.
Even if you filled in a different arrivaltime you do have to call us before 12 noon to reconfirm your reservation. We do have the right to cancel in case we didn't hear anything from you by then!!
If you don't show, we have the right to charge you for one night. We take to money off the creditcard you used to make the booking.
We need a 5 euro keydeposit in cash per person. You get this back if you return your key on the day of check out. Note that this deposit can only be paid in cash.

For New Years Eve guest there is a minimum stay of 3 nights and a price for the party of 50 euros that needs to be paid at arrival.
The party on the 31-12-08 includes free drinks (wine, beer and soda) free food and half a bottle of champagne at 12 o'clock!!

From Amsterdam Central Station take tram 1, 2 or 5. Get out at 5th stop (keizersgracht) and take the first street to your left, this should be Kerkstraat. If it's not, ask a local!
