Great 80%

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I was happy with this hotel. It is conveniently placed to get into the center of town by tram or if you want to walk just over half an hour or so. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the the museum district.

My room was compact but was newly renovated and clean. The breakfast was self serve with a good choice of food.

One good thing I found was that the hotel is just by the city airport bus stop. This saved me the hassle of going into town to get the train and the bus fare is much cheaper.

Having a lift is great, those stairs are very steep!

Would I go there again. Be happy to.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

My single room wasn't renovated. The mattress was worn and parts of the innerspring mattress seems to be broken. Additional the mattress was to soft for me. The walls need a new paint coating. Above the top of the mattress the wall was dirty. The bathroom was ok and clean buth the washing basin was far too small, so I had to brush my teeth in the shower. I would classify this hotel maximal with 1 or 2 stars. Over all to expensive for the achievement.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Stayed here for four nights. Nice hotel, good breakfast, quiet location, but also close to Leidseplein (an active spot). Also, convenient link by bus 197 to the airport (34 minutes) - no need to go to Centraal.
The only problem we faced was that, though the hotel advertised the availabilty of a lift, it was not stated that this appled only to 3F and above! We had a family room on the first floor, so negotiating the classic Dutch stairs (narrow and steep) with luggage was a bit tricky. If you are old or infirm, make sure you get a room on the third floor or above.
The stairs became a standing joke between us and the hotel folk - friendly, staight-forward and helpful people.
Perhaps the breakfast timings (7:30 - 9:30) could be extended to 10:30; somedays its good to come down late!!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Very comfortable quiet non-smoking hotel. 5 minutes from Leidesplein. Walking distance to anywhere in city centre. Good breakfast up to 9.30am. Single rooms are small but that's to be expected for this city. Good value.
