Vita Nova

It's a unique experience to sleep in a botel. Although the rooms were very small, but you have to keep in mind that you are sleeping in a bote. Therefore it was very cosy and warm.
There was a variety of different kinds of breakfast.

About Vita Nova

The Vita Nova is a cosy ship located in the centre of Amsterdam near to the central railway station,Nemo,Red light and Citycenter.

Included in the price are both bedlinen,internet,wifi and towel.And every morning a Dutch breakfast service is provided.

The ship has 24 cabins with bunk beds, five showers and six separate toilets. Available for hire are 20 X 2 persons cabins and 3 X 1 person cabins. Showers and toilets are shared..Bike hire is close by the hostel

The crews are always pleased to welcome you aboard.

It's a unique experience to sleep in a botel. Although the rooms were very small, but you have to keep in mind that you are sleeping in a bote. Therefore it was very cosy and warm.
There was a variety of different kinds of breakfast.
The walls are very tin, so you can hear it when the person in the room next to yours wispers, but again you are sleeping in a bote.

Overall it was a very nice experience, I will certainly do it again.

this was great, we had a fab time here, we were walking distance to the city center and a 5minute walk from central station, Roy (the owner) was a joy. i would recommend people to stay here, myself and my friends will be back.

Superb location, within 1km of Ams CS. Very clean and I really slept well! Good value for money. Facilities are lacking but really, its not an issue for backpackers like myself. service is 10/10. Roy gave really good tips on gettin around ams. he will also give a free tourist booklet with maps. so, do not buy it from the tourist info near the station that cost 2,50 euros.

one bad thing is that roy disallows bathing after 11pm as it may disturb other people. he mentioned that showering is noisy in the boat.. so for night activities, you are much limited.

Thoroughly recommended, the rooms are obv v small(like barely room to stand by the side of the bed) and if you like plush loos and showers its not for you.
However great friendly service, clean, excellent breakfasts, and quite quiet.
Ideal base for a short stay......Definately great fun to experience (unless u already have a bad back).
