The Stayokay Haarlem was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were quite large and modern. The bathrooms were clean and ensuite. Public areas consisted of a bar (that never had anyone in it) and a large breakfast room with a great breakfast buffet. The main drawback of the Stayokay Haarlem was the location. It is a good way outside of Haarlem, and you need transportation of some kind to reach it. The bus sytem is easy to use and stops right outside the hostel.

It is a good way outside of Haarlem, and you need transportation of some kind to reach it. The bus sytem is easy to use and stops right outside the hostel. The hostel also has bicycles to rent for a cheap daily price, which makes getting around easier. There are no surrounding restaurants or bars within close walking distance. But for the price it was a good value and I would definitely stay there again.

Public transport
Stayokay Haarlem is easy to reach by public transport. From Haarlem station take bus 2 in the direction of Haarlem-Noord. The bus stops in front of the hostel. From Santpoort-Zuid station the hostel is a ten-minute walk.
