About Airport Skyway Lodge

Internet Access

Airport 5 minutes away. Wireless internet. We will look after you like family. DVDs while you wait for your flight.

Relax by the swimming pool. The water is 26C at the moment.

Strawberry farm across the road to tempt you. (icecream and pancakes!)

Going to Queenstown or Fiji. Lots of people stop off for the early flights.

Airport pickup $5per person oneway.(7am to 9pm) $10 per person oneway (10pm to 7am).

We have good facilities and plenty of space, for you to relax and stretch out before or after your flight.

Bus into the city for $5 single or $11 return, right outside our door. The $11 nzd Auckland Pass includes travel on all bus routes all day and also the ferry service to Devenport . The best way to see all the sights of Auckland.

Greek and Indian restaurants and small supermarket just 5 minutes walk.

I came to stay in the Skyway Lodge because my connecting flight to Fiji was only in the morning of the following day I had arrived in Auckland. After arrived in Auckland I gave a call to the Lodge (using free number). 15 minutes later I was picked up and brought to the lodge. The rooms are simple, but clean and exactly what one needs to recover from a long flight. Shops and restaurants are very close by. The facilities in the lodge (swimming pool, dvd / TV, kitchen, laundry) seem to be ok, however I did not use any of them. WIFI internet was great, one of the best bandwidth I experienced so far. Very good, fast and stable connection.

I did not travel to Auckland city, so I can nothing report on how easy or difficult it is to get there.

The people running the lodge are very friendly and helpful. Already this would be a good reason to return to the place when I need to stop over in Auckland next time.

All in all I was very satisfied with the Lodge.

Scott the owner is great and more than helpful. When you arrive at the airport, call the free 0800 number and he will pick you up within 15 minutes. Clean rooms with beds made up. An ideal spot for that overnight close to Auckland airport.
