We got the impression that this place was a decent place to stay, not too fancy but fairly newly refreshed. This was NOT the case. We got a shabby room with an incredibly uncomfortable double bed, in a room which made you feel you got dirty just by staying in the room. Likewise the shared showers were also not nice, with painting falling off the roof and walls. It really has to exist better places than the cheap rooms as Aspen House which have a higher quality than this hotel.

We got a shabby room with an incredibly uncomfortable double bed, in a room which made you feel you got dirty just by staying in the room. Likewise the shared showers were also not nice, with painting falling off the roof and walls. It really has to exist better places than the cheap rooms as Aspen House which have a higher quality than this hotel. And in addition, we also got towels which were not nice at all, coloring a lot, but since they gave us new towels immediately we can give them a 2 star for the service. The only real good thing here is the location.

For Visitors arriving at Auckland Airport:
To get to Aspen House from Auckland Airport you have the following options available outside both international and domestic terminals:
Discount Taxis: Aspen House recommends Discount Taxis for their convenient pickup and dropoff service. To catch a Discount Taxi from the Airport, dial their freephone 0800 529 100 from any Airport phone. Discount Taxis charge a flat cash rate of NZ$30 (car) or NZ$40 (van) to Aspen House. From the International Terminal, Discount Taxis pick up outside Door 9 (main arrivals) by the pay station.
Supershuttle: A Super Shuttle costs approximately NZ$25-35 for 2 people, this is a door to door service. To pre-book a Supershuttle, visit www.supershuttle.co.nz
Airbus Express: The Airbus costs NZ$13-15 per person one way. The Express runs approximately every 20 minutes during daytime hours from and to the Airport. From 1 August, the nearest stop to Aspen House is Lower University (Stop 3). Aspen House is a short walk from here.
For visitors arriving by car:
From the Southern Motorway exit at Wellesley Street off ramp - follow signs to City turn right on to Princess Street drive to the end of Princess Street - at the park turn left and then right into Emily Place.
From the Northern Motorway exit at Fanshaw Street travel through to Custom Street East, travel three blocks past Queen Street - turn right up into Emily Place.
