Facilities were very good for the price. The staff at the hostel, particularly Dave, were very helpful and friendly. Friendly atmosphere and environment inside as well. Bedrooms were a little cramped, but comfortable. Had to pay for hot water, but only $0.50 for a six minute shower.

BORDERS BEYOND offers you , quality accommodation , and is just a 10 minute walk or 3 min by bus to the city center. It is close to bars, cafes, entertainment, supermarkets, banks, shops, car hire and markets, zoo, museum and Mt Eden. Borders Beyond is a medium-sized, quiet, secure and homely hostel.
The accommodation consists of clean and tidy single and double rooms, all with double beds and T.V, air cond. and the separate male/female dormitories have either 4,5, or 6 beds .We provide shared toilets, and cooking facilities and a self service laundry. There is a cosy common room with T.V, and internet, WI-FI, telephone and fax are available. In trying to stay environmentally friendly, a cost of 50 cents is asked for a 6 minute hot water shower.
The management of Borders Beyond is committed to ensuring friendly and helpful service, and the manager, can assist you with local knowledge for working, traveling or other.

No curfew, Visitors allowed but not in the room; no food consumed in the room, and no excessive noise after 11pm. Check out 10am.

Located about a 15 minute walk from Auckland. Not too big so you can get to know people fairly well.
What a wonderful, accommodating hostel! Everyone is so friendly and great! Lovely atmosphere and common area. Good sized rooms. Close to the city and Mt. Eden -- the perfect location. Would stay here time and time again!!
