About Harbourside City Backpackers
Hilton Location at backpacker prices - right on the water front! This is the backpackers you want to stay in when in Tauranga - we are amongst bars and cafes with a huge balcony overlooking the harbour. We have a large common area and kitchen, internet cafe, activity booking office and have the city centre on our door step.
Our hostel has 72 beds, it is CLEAN and SAFE and the staff will go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. We have a night warden for your security!
Tauranga is a great place to base yourself for a while, whether you want to enjoy the night life, the beautiful beaches or become a local and find some work.
Harbourside Backpackers is only a minute walk from the bus station and information centre, central to all banks, shopping a short drive to the airport.
If you are running short of cash and looking for WORK over summer local employers contact us first for workers, the bars and cafes are ALWAYS looking for employees.
In winter work can also be arranged - KIWIFRUIT picking/packing starts in April and runs into September. We work with honest contractors and can help with visas, bank accounts IRD numbers and can organise transport.

Conditions
We have female only dorm, twins, doubles and dorms. All with or without bathrooms.
There is also a self contained flat on site for long termers which has a double room, a female six bed dorm, and a twin room. This is perfect if you plan to base yourself here for a while!
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy.
