Make a booking at Wellywood Backpackers

The date you selected is invalid.

After spending 1.5 hours trying to check-in, the guy at reception told us the confirmations of the online booking we had made about 10 days ago were not on their computers. We were trying to show him our confirmation on our mobile phone and we had to fwd that back to them (to their yahoo account as the hostel email address wasn't working). Then the rooms were definitely not value for money, we stayed right beside the communal toilet, probably no need to go into details there...
A really awful experience I wouldn't like anybody else to go through.

A faulty washing machine was still being used which left clothes wringing wet, even though several guests told me it had been like that for a while, staff did put my wasing back trough spin and one drying cycle free of charge but clothes were still damp and I had to pay for another drying session. Location is tremendous within walking distance of local transport and several attractions. Nice to have en suite facilities for a change. Good security on kitchen and lounge area, key needed for access. Free wi-fi. Several full time residents, so maybe I'm being a bit picky.

Excellent location.Right in the centre of downtown and everything in walking distance. Loved everything about this hostel! (especially the free Wifi)

Great location and good value for reasonable accommodation. I stayed in a private twin room and it was relaxed enough. Nothing exceptional, but just a friendly place where you can be social if you want to.
