Latest Review for Belfast International Youth Hostel

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I would recommend this hostel because the location is good, there`s an elevator available and a day-tour office inside the hostel.
But everytime I turned around in my bed it squeaked terribly.

THE HOSTEL:

The biggest and best hostel in Belfast! We are ideally situated just 10 minutes walk from the Europa Bus Station and 5 minutes from Botanic Train Station. We are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year!

The best location in town for museums, galleries, music venues, shops and pubs and clubs. Queen's University, the Botanic Gardens and the newly reopened Ulster Museum are a 5 minute walk - and City Hall just 15 minutes away on foot.

The hostel is 2 buildings in one. The original hostel where our standard rooms are located - and the extension where we have our en-suite rooms.

We have rooms to suit all requirements and budgets - from a basic cheap dormitory bed to an en-suite double.

Our experienced and well-travelled staff welcome guests of all ages (from 2 to 92!!!) from all over the world!

THE ROOMS:

Our 'en-suite' rooms have comfortable beds with reading lights, some space for your luggage - and of course a private shower room/toilet (wet room). The en-suite dormitories have lockers under the beds.

Please note that towels and soap are not provided.

Our 'standard' rooms (including those listed 'twin private shared bathroom') have bunk beds - again all with a reading light. Standard twins are small (half the size of a standard 4) and designed for those seeking a budget room but some privacy, not extra space or comfort! En-suite twins and doubles give you a bit more space.

Your typical high quality big city YHA. Nothing much which really jumps out about this one. The dining area was perhaps a bit sparse (wooden picknick-area-style benches), but that was balanced by the on-site cafe. I'd call this a safe bet to stay at, although there's probably nicer places around.
