Do not stay at this hostel. I cannot put this across stongly enough. It's full of drunks and loud mouths and you won't get any sleep. The one night I stayed (I had a private room) countless times people tried to get into my room. Someone kicked the door, another shouted through the door at me - swearing, another actually got into my room while I was out at the toilet, the fire alam went off, armed police turned up to escort someone off the property under the mental health act (!!!) and the showers were freezing! You owe it to yourself to find some where normal to sleep for a night. Pass on the Linen House everytime.

Run, Save Yourselves! Escape While You Can!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were first taken back by the bad neighborhood, broken glass everywhere, where cars had been broken into,a pub cross the street that with metal bars in front and have to buzzed in to enter, take our advice(if you're american)don't go in! u r NOT welcome, yet there were Elvis posters everwhere. ??graffiti sprayed everywhere, gang area, street was so dark, was like in the movies where you know the victim could be killed any second.spooky area! DON'T GO OUT AT NIGHT!!! especially if you're a woman !finally got into hostile, our first mistake, got our dorm room, too many bunkbeds in each room! crammed in like a can of sardines! room smelled like feet and backside, we are NOT joking! Left luggage was £1, wi-fi was £2 per day, internet was very slow, but thats Europe.we are thankful we flew here,we would not park a car here, cause you wouldn't have it very long.showers are disgusting, smelled like mildew, heard everyone there complaining of bedbugs,so we slept in our sleeping bags.well, we should say we didn't really sleep at all, parties ALL night, police there at least 2 times in one night, naked people running down the halls n stairs drunk, this is NOT a place for us gals, not safe! kitchen was very old, tables in dining room were disgusting. Staff were nice enough, the ONLY thing good about our stay. One irish chap, leonard? we think it was, very helpful, informative, moves slow like a turtle or sedated, the manager/owners wife,a Giliun?, not nice at all, screaming and yelling at the staff and the guests in the lobby! unbelieveable! RUDE! Owner, Patrick ?, when we asked for assistance, denied he was the owner, old guy with white hair, very dodgey, either up to something, and/or ashamed of the place. Polish chap,Raph?on nights was nice, helpful, American or Canadian gal,Sara? on desk was very nice, helpful, made our stay more bearable. All in all, bedbugs, police, car break ins, bad neighborhood,crime,mold/mildew,dirty,noisy. Well, you decide. Trust us. Stay away!

I am not sure why this place is called the linen house hostel, because Australian guy at desk told me it was a slaughter house, pigs n cows so i was told.guess if they called it the slaughter house hostel no one would stay there. Still smells like it a bit, though i have never been to slaughter house.with exception of my stay in this hostel.staff was okay,as i mentioned Aussie guy was nice enough,if you were lucky enough to ever catch him at the desk. Rooms are over crowded, smell like a locker room, armpit and mold, very serious black mold problem all over.Guess no one ever told them in hostel school, black mold can KILL you.Showers smelled like pee, drunk people up til 4 in the morning, trying to get in everyones rooms, including ours! Just a tip,do NOT bring any valuables, you won't have them for long.Sheets were old n ragged, ours were so thin, you could read a newspaper thru it.Many were telling us they had bed bugs! we were just us 4 gals out for one night stop in Belfast, noise from parties and drunks til 4,so NO sleep, kitchen so disgusting,i would not cook on the cookers,i would starve first. And the "gameroom",what a joke.Nothing worked, smell of mold in basement and urine, and empty beer bottles,we spent about 3 seconds down there.Ever see the movie Evil Dead, the basement scene, well,if so,you get the idea. So, with no sleep,no dinner, and a vending machine that gave us a cup of hot water instead of coffee,we gathered our belongings, and ran like hell, yes ,i said ran! if you like a good safe place to stay, this is NOT it,especially for ladies. Oh,and the creepy old guy in his 50's,white hair works there, drunk ,guess considers himself quite the ladies man,YUK! likes to flirt with all us girls, repulsive.Creeped us out totally. Guess thats why it's so cheap, you don't get anything. Stay Away. Worst hostel we ever stayed in! Was in Berlin just before, the cheapest worst hostel there, was much better. You figure it out. Well, back to Italy, chaoi for now.
