The location and the property are excellent, the staff helpful and friendly. There was just an unexpected extra payment for children because the website was not clear.

'Rarely will you see another hostel with such a look of permanent surprise on its face. This lovely detached villa, parked under the cliffs, stares out wide eyed over a country railway line to the longest beach on the north coast of Ireland and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Inside, the decor and furnishings give the unmistakeable feeling that you're a guest in someone's enviably comfortable home. The Giant's Causeway is just a short bus ride away ... but perhaps we'll curl up with a book and go tomorrow.'

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BOOKING: We have 6 double rooms, all our double rooms can be used as twins and all can sleep up to 4 in a double bed + 2 single beds if required. If you want to book a room for a family please book a double or twin room, then email us if additional beds are required. There is a charge of £5 per night for an additional child needing their own bed, and £10 per night for an additional adult.

CHECK IN/OUT: you may arrive between 3pm (15:00) and 8pm (20:00), check out is at 11:00 am

DESCRIPTION

Award winning backpacker's hostel in one of the most beautiful locations of Northern Ireland. Stunningly situated, the Downhill Hostel overlooks the North Coasts' longest beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The hostel is backed by dramatic cliffs and bordered by a stream, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. Downhill is a great base for exploring the Giant's Causeway and North Coast, and is the nearest accommodation to the famous Mussenden Temple.

Conditions

Check in time is between 3pm (15:00) and 8pm (20:00) You must make special arrangements with the hostel to arrive outside these times. There is absolutely no check in after 10pm under any circumstances.

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your booking with less than 72 hours notice your card will be charged for the first nights accommodation. This policy does not effect the 10% non-refundable deposit paid at time of booking.

For 'no-shows' , i.e., bookings that do not turn up and do not contact us to cancel we will charge the full value of the booking even if it is for multiple nights.
