Budget Accommodation Europe Norway Oslo Budget Hotels Anker Hotel
I didn't know what I expected from this hotel, but was very impressed. It is rated 3 star, but deserves more. Staff were so helpful and kind and courteous. The breakfast provided was amazing! The bed was so comfortable that I really didn't want to be leaving just yet.

I didn't know what I expected from this hotel, but was very impressed. It is rated 3 star, but deserves more. Staff were so helpful and kind and courteous. The breakfast provided was amazing! The bed was so comfortable that I really didn't want to be leaving just yet. I also had a great view of the city from my room. The bus was just outside the door, so was hassle free to get into the city. Central Station is not too far and there was a taxi stand just outside as well. I have recommended this hotel to others when they plan to travel to Oslo. For Norwegian standards, this hotel was a great bargain.

in a relatively good location, very close to the tram and bus station although it doesn't take more than 10 mins to reach the heart of oslo on foot. the price, expensive for my standars, was cheap for norwegian standards. asking a few people about where they had stayed in oslo, i realised that this hotel was much better in terms of price. the staff were very helpful and spoke excellent english (like most norwegians) and there was a huge buffet in the morning from where you could choose from a large variety of foods and eat as much as you wanted. the room was medium sized (the decoration was quite basic) with a nice bathroom (very clean) and a very comfortable bed. the view from the 5th floor, where i stayed, was pleasent looking at the main road but also at the canal that is very near the hotel. generally i was pleased with the hotel which, i emphasize, for norwegian standards, was good value for money.
