Quieter and more mature
The Travelers Residence with the best location. In the heart of the city the fashionable CBD area, the most convenient base for tourists, people thinking of living in Panama and students who are thinking to take spanish classes.
If eventually you are interested in even longer-term rentals or purchases in Panama we may also have suggestions.
Panama's best location...near the famous Restaurante Trapiche Within a 5 minute walk, you will find some of the best international restaurants in the country, English speaking cinemas, internet cafes where you can phone home for 6 cents a minute, European style coffee shops, travel agencies, and banks. The city center's only park is right around the corner. Anita's Inn has single room, A/C, and patio dorm options. Anita's Inn welcomes you to friendly bilingual service, a great contact place, and a great central point to explore all of Panama.
Vibrant Panama City has the conveniences of America and the best of Latin culture, as well as natural attractions nearby :jungle beaches lakes and the Panama Canal.

the security of hostal should be beter
Basic and budget orientated.
Very noisy because of construction site across the street. Management was unsympathetic (when you could find them). I was staying there and trying to study Spanish at SpanishPanama. I wish I had known how noisy it was before I came. I would have chosen some place else.

Anita's is easy to find as it's behind the famous restaurant called Trapiche
You may take a taxi from just about anywhere near Panama City's center for just a dollar. So the first time it's best to come by taxi. Tell the driver; 'Restaurante El Trapiche, Via Argentina'.
Direct him 150m down the lane next to the restaurant . It's a large building named ANITA.
You can see that Anitas Inn is located in the Middle of the city. In fact the city has 2 centers. Firstly the Old Colonial Center , which has many tourists sites, a pedestrian shopping street and markets but is a little rundown.
The other center is the Central Business District CBD an area of high rise banking towers, it has all the tourist facilities. It has a whole street full of travel agents and internet cafes. We are located on the edge of the CBD on a quiet street off Via Argentina - The Paris of Panama with it's sidewalk cafes. You can safely walk around between the bars, restaurants, casinos etc.
If you are coming down Via España by bus, get off at Blockbuster Video, go right up Via Argentina, to Restaurante El Trapiche and take a right down Calle G to Building Anita. .
