This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The area in which it is located is a poor one. However, one is able to find things at affoirdable prices as long as you are careful where you walk.

The fact that they provide free transport from and to malls, hotel, and airport compensates with the area in which it is located.

The staff is very friendly and seeks to satisfy its guests as much as possible.

The room had a very nice view of modern hotels and a little bit of the sea.

The free breakfast that it offers is really good and more than what one would expect for the price per night.

The room I was given had two mini bathrooms:

a. one with a tub

b. one with a shower, sink, and toilet.

Both were kept clean at all times. Yet, the soap bars were a little small.

The second bathroom needs a mirror and the sink wood needs to be taken care of.

The room also needs a bedside clock and a mini freezer would come in very handy.

The email personnel is very prompt to answer any email sent to them and therefore one is not kept waiting for a reply.

All in all, I would stay there if I visited Panama city, Panama again.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Hotel is value for the money, but the staff speak no english and do not like to try to help or make it any easier for custom to cope. They seem to be interrupted if customers have anything to ask. Ignoring -do not make you feel any more welcome, no good mornings or hi"s.. just to smile was too difficult. They look like wery lazy for us. Advise what we had was different fron every worker. I would say frustrating. I can not recomment this hotel to my friends, if they can not take care themselves in spanish. We go again to Panama city next week, not even consider to take the same place. Shame!

The room was very dark and small, but liveable for the price we paid ($57 for a double). We were suppose to be picked up at the airport, but that didn't happen, and we weren't given any reason. We ended up taking a cab. Breakfast was fine in their dining room. Front desk staff spoke very little English. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

A very pleasant place, acceptable breakfast, comfortable bedroom. I suggest to put some chair and mirror in the bedroom and at the hall too. In despite of it I recommend it. If I have to travel again to Panamá, maybe I stay there.

We booked this hotel for only $50,- per day.
Good hotel with swimming pool on the roof and an excellent breakfast. The taxi service from/to the airport make this a very good value.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

It’s an OK Hotel but don’t expect much out of it. The third star probably given by the pool on the roof (which is nice if you like that). The rooms are not great and except for a small TV (with regular cable, nothing fancy) and an old A/C (that served its purpose but was really noisy), there wasn’t much else in the room. It was clean, but clearly old and cheap. If you are a little bit snob, you might want to try to get to the sixth floor. I’ve seen the rooms there and, although not super fancy, you can tell the difference, Flat TVs, Security Box, Mini Fridge, huge, etc. I had none of that.

Where I was Wi-Fi didn’t work (and it’s not free), but I’ve seen Wi-Fi routers on a couple of floors.

Room service is “adequate” but nothing more. They’ll put a bag with two towels and two soaps and fix the beds, that’s it. There’s no “Don’t disturb” signs or anything. And the time they did it was random during the mornings. (I really didn’t care, but it’s worth mentioning it).

They sell other stuff like shampoo/razor shaves, etc but you better bring your own for simplicity.

Food: Breakfast was included for me, but it’s nothing too fancy. Lots of scrambled eggs and sausages, plus some fruits and yoghurts. Cereals, bread, toasters, some cake (which wasn’t bad!) and coffee of course. A couple of fruit juices (not natural). It’s ok, but after seven days, it started to feel the same… some bacon would’ve helped.
On the other hand, the restaurant (I’ve eaten three times there) wasn’t really that good. I didn’t really like the food that much and they don’t have much (or they have too much variety). Like you can’t have in a small place like that, spaguettis and fish and chicken and beef and rice and this and that. I don’t know, I didn’t really like it.

Service, Staff and people: This was very good. Despite any other shortcoming, the ppl at the hotel were nice and they always made sure you had whatever you needed or asked for. On a few rare occasions I wasn’t really 100% satisfied with the answers or solutions, and I speak english and spanish. I don’t know if their english is good but they seemed to manage.

Location: The hotel is not “far” but it’s not close either. The zone is NOT nice, doesn’t look nice, but never seemed “dangerous” or anything like that. Just don’t expect a fancy street. It’s far from it. Speaking of which, the distance to “things” is within “ok limits” but if it’s too hot and you decide to “walk” to a mall, expect to be sweaty upon arrival.

Value: This is though, I payed 50 dollars/night. It’s “ok” but it is a cheap hotel so don’t expect miracles.

Transportation to/from airport is free if you use their 3/day trips. (At fixed hours). I had to stay ½ day (and payed 27 dollars) so I can use the room during the afternoon. Checkout is at 11:30am. After that and after a cordial beer with the “manager” I was taken at 7pm to the airport. I wasn’t in a hurry and it was sunday so that was a nice touch. Make sure you check this if you need transport to the airport. The “From” the airport I couldn’t really find and ended up paying 11 dollars to a “mini bus” that took me there.

I travelled alone. I wasn’t really on vacations and I am not fancy. Internet is bad there, they have these two machines that you put a dollar for 30 min, but you’re limited to IE, MSN and not much more. It’s not a “free” computer so beware. (and they are very old).

All in all, I would go back if I needed a cheap hotel in Panama. Knowing the city, I’d try to find a similar offer closer to where I had to be or a Mall. Truth is, if you’re on vacations you really don’t care that much, but I had to go to two places every day and it was a 30 min walk every single day :)

Good luck!

In general I enjoyed my stay, an economic and well located hotel with a very good breakfast included in the price.

I liked the hotel and its restaurant, but the receptionists were not too friendly, maybe they are friendly only with americans and europeans!( I am from Costa Rica).

The pool was great, clean and warm day and night. The hotel is decidely run down but the room was clean and the bed was very good.

The female staff were all very friendly. The male management were basically the lazy officious type that were not helpful and by North American standards rude. The breakfast was filling if boring, scrampled eggs, fried weiner but lots of fresh fruit.

The onsite restaurant is 24 hours and decent for the price. Definately "not good" but decent and there is NOTHING else after 11pm in the area.

No where in their marketing do they say "guests are forbiden" but apparently they are and a sign to that effect after they gave me a hard time about a friend visiting. I think the manager on site the day was homophobic.

I used the laundry service and it appeared just as I was checking out (2 days late) so I did not have to pay. Electrical outlets are few and far between and the water shut off 3 times a day. If you are not demanding about things like clean towels and bed changes they won't happen.

The airpport shuttle pics you up at any time but only takes you to the airport at set times 5am, 8am and 2pm....did not work for me so had to pay 25$ to get to the airport.

The inroom wireless worked great the whole time...about the only thing that did.
