Make a booking at Koala Backpackers

We've stayed 2 nights at Koala hostel and for the price, conditions and the staff it simply does not worth it.
The beds were awful, unconfortable is being nice; every time we had a shower we felt electric shocks..
In the end, the woman in charge lied us about the buses going to lima. She charged us more 50 soles (12,5€) than it was supposed, she faked a phone call in front of us saying there were almost no more places available, but if we would buy the tickets at that moment she could ask the company to deliver the tickets at the hostel...inocently we agreed. The tickets came with a "pagado"(payed) stamp where the price was, so we could not see the real price. When arriving at the terminal, we went to confirm the price and we found we had been smmugled.
Choose another hostel, and in case u have to stay in this one, don't trust nobody!

About Koala Backpackers

Koala Backpackers is a friendly and funny hostel in the heart of beautiful Arequipa. We aim to make your stay in Arequipa as comfortable and convenient as possible making it a home away from home with all the modern comforts.

Our central location in the heart of Arequipa means you are minutes from all the main attractions of The White City. The Convento de Santa Catalina, the Museo Santuarios Andinos and the beautiful Plaza de Armas are all within 5 minutes walk. We are just around the corner from all Arequipa´s best restaurants and bars on Calle San Francisco, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores.

We offer private rooms and double rooms with private bathroom with warm water at an excellent quality-price ratio. We also have spacious dormitories. All rooms include sheets, warm blankets, pillows, and all that on comfy mattresses.

Included with your room are:

A delicious breakfast served on the sunny patio each morning, free Internet access in the reception area including WiFi, secure Free bag storage, use of our TV room which is stocked with a wide selection of DVDs with recent movies. The kitchen is at everyone's disposal in case you suddenly feel like expressing your chief talents. including the use of a refrigerator.

Additional services offered are: Food available at the Hostel, a weekly BBQ night with delicious local food offering the chance to get to know your fellow travellers, a fast and reliable laundry service, onward bus tickets and taxis for you.

With experienced guides on staff we can organise and book any tours in the Arequipa region and provide any information or assistance required.

Apart from the rooms the hotel comprises two sunny patios - inner open-air courtyards - as well as a small terrace.

These are nice places to chill out, share some Beers and meet like-minded travellers and socialize.

And for the party people, remember, we have no curfew!!!
