Cheap place. Not very clean. Showers and bathrooms are in rough shape. No hotwater. Friendly staff and are attentive and will make sure you are safe and secure. But just a real dive. But you get what you pay for and if you are on a budget this is as cheap as it gets....

Very nice little posada in a cozy old peruvian mansion with a nice interior courtyard and a wonderful rooftop which allows you to see the El Miste. Nicely painted, although the whole place needs a little spruce- up. But then what can you expect more for the little price you pay. So, from this point of view, the place is a very good value. There is little kitchen available as well.
And the lady owner is extremely nice and will do anything to satisfy you.
Wifi is available across the courtyard and works very well.In summary, I only can recommend this little hostal.

About La Posada del Virrey
The hostal is close to the main square of Arequipa, the ´Plaza de Armas´. The hostal is owned by a friendly family. Basic but clean singles, doubles, and dormitories with and without bathrooms are available. The rooms of the property surround a courtyard, and there is a rooftop terrace where you can escape the hustle an bustle of the streets when needed. There is also a BBQ on the rooftop and free kitchen facilities. Free internet access (computer available, but also WiFi), kitchen, hot water (24 hrs), free cocathee, and baggage storage (security box) and it is possible to change your money there. Laundry and breakfast for a small fee. The property is recommended by the guide \'Footprints\' and by ¨Lonely Planet´¨. We also offer pick up service at the bus terminal. just call us at 22 4050.
