DONT GO T THIS HOSTEL! Mi Bulin hostel is irresponsibly run and DANGEROUS! The owner is never around, the “complete” kitchen has hardly any tools, many of which are broken, and the bathrooms are a mess. Food continually “disappears” from the fridge, even when you write your name on it. There is no recourse as the owner is never around, and when you try and talk to her she doesn’t seem to care. When we let her know we would arrive early (6am) she replied that someone would come at 9 am, 9am! And so we patiently went to a cafe with all our luggage to wait, and when we showed up at 9 there was no one there. We had to wait longer until one of the people in the hostel woke up and opened the door for us. Worst of all, while we were there I was robbed of the keys to my locker and my ipod, and the owner- who didn’t bother to come in, although I called several times asking her to- just apologized and said there was nothing she could do. She couldn’t even make the effort to come over in person and talk to the suspect (the only other person sharing the room). Some renters stay there long term, told us they never pay rent (and they charge “white” foreigners double), and that this isn’t the first time someone has been robbed, actually someone was robbed just the week before. On top of being terrified by the man we thought robbed us and the fact that the owner wouldn’t call the police, she called one of her long term tenants and asked her to charge us for the night we stayed there- the night we were robbed. We had to argue so much (mind you I speak fluent Spanish) to let this woman allow us to leave without paying. There is a scam going on AND THEY ARE ALL IN ON IT. Please, for your safety, don’t support this hostel. But DO enjoy fabulous Buenos Aires.
