About Hotel Santa Maria

The Hotel Maria is a 3 star hotel totally rebuilt, located in the city centre of Faro, less than 20 meters away from the main commercial street (Santo António).

About 200 meters away we can also find the Garden Manuel Bívar, the marina, the tourism information point and the historical centre, also called Cidade Velha.

Santa Maria has 5 floors in a total of 60 rooms (one suite and one room adapted for disabled people) all equipped with satellite TV, mini-bar, and air-conditioning, telephone and safety deposit box.

Had a minor incident at this hotel. I wished to change my booking and the hotel said I had to change it with the travel agent. Travellerspoint obviously said the opposite

I was travelling at the time and found it difficult to rectify this. Needless to say, the hotel was on the ball and resolved this issue in no time at all, and there was no problem.

Facilities, location and service were all first rate, and the price was great (but it was not summer).

Highly recommended.

From the Airport:
Follow the city signs, within +/- 6 kms you be entering into the city, turn the roundabout ( with a fountain ) go straight ahead, following the city center signs.

By the time you see on your right side the Marina, turn on the small roundabout and take the first road on the right side ( the road beside the Hotel Faro ), go straight ahead until you find on your front an old building saying ' Monet Oblectando ', turn right and the hotel is just a few 100 meters far.
