It is cheap for the area it is in, toilets were cleaned regularly as well as hallways but the bedroom floor was filthy, we had a sink and bide in our room which wasnt functional. The man at reception was not very friendly, he was pushy to get rid of us on the last day and was knoking on the door at 10.50 saying "you leave now" telling us that check out is at 11, however the paperwork on the bedroom door indicates 12 noon check out! Would not stay there again unless I was desperate and or broke!

Verde Esperança is a Hostel located in Lisbon historical heart. The ideal place to stay if you want to discover Lisbon.
Located in a historical quarter that is one of the beautiful parts of the city and very well served with public transport; you can travel to everywhere by bus, there are direct trains to Cascais, tube/underground to every part of Lisbon and the traditional electric trams in which you can have a traditional visit of the city.
Just nearby can visit Museu das Marionetas and Museu de Arte Antiga, also the French Embassy and the National Assembly. Also nearby, you have de Docas and Av. 24 Julho, where you can have a pleasant evening, or Belém, where you can have lunch or dinner with a panoramic view of Rio Tejo.
All rooms recently renovated (May2008) and are all refurbished in May 2008!!!

Hospedaria Verde Esperanca is located near National Assembly, and is very well served of public transports.
You can reach us by buses no. 60, 706, 727 and the traditional electric trams no. 25 and 28, or by train dropping in Santos station, and by tube, which are a few minutes. Walking in Cais Sodré Station.
