About Cobwobs Hostel

The hostel is set in a large garden in the center of Sighet about half a kilometer from the town center and one kilometer from the bus and train station. It has three dorm rooms and one double room and can accomodate up to 16 people in very comfortable and spacious accommodation.

There is also a kitchen people can use to prepare their own food or where we can provide breakfast and dinner on request. Most of the food we provide is based around local cuisine and comes from our own garden or the local market.

We have four shower rooms and four toilets plus a left luggage and amenities room. Within easy walking distance of the hostel are several local restraunts, clubs and bars which you will

find very hospitable.

We have a reception open up to ten at night, an hour after the last train arrives in Sighetul which gives people a chance to reach us before we close. If you arrive after this you can always ring the bell and we will of course let you in

This year we are runing trips to a local farm house about five klm out into the most beautiful area near Sighet above the village of Iappa. During the afternoon you can go walking in the hills help the local farmers or maybe go mushroom picking. In the evening we will cook over an open fire, listen to traditional music and if you get lucky local farmers will come and join us and teach you how to dance. Also we will on request run trips across the boarder by bike to the Ukrainian mud baths/spa. Its an intresting way to relax and watch the Ukrainians having fun.

Lovely hostel which is kept clean and aired by the owners. The garden offers places to sit in the warm evening sun and contemplate your onward travel or just enjoy a beer or two.
