Located in a beatifull and big 3 storey house from the 1940s which was redesigned by hostel owner/architect. It is just four blocks from Copacabana Beach in a quiet cobblestone street set up at the foot of Cabrito hill between Ipanema and Copacabana. Either a short walk or a quick cab/bus ride or metro will take you to many day-time and night-time entertainment options.

Just 5 min walking to copabana beach and 20 min walking to Ipanema beach, 2 blocks for a metro station. Our staff will definately do the best to help you with informations, free maps and tours.

We offer a friendly and welcoming environment within our facilities. There is great contact between guests and staff, meaning this is a place you can call your home in Rio.

Besides being a warmly welcoming hostel, Rio Backpackers will help you to enjoy our Brazilian culture through our Capoeira Shows, every friday night you can watch and join the Brazilian Capoeira Group. We also can organize Portuguese lessons and Brazilian dancing such as forr� or samba.
