Charing Cross Guest House

Overall an OK place. Felt more like a hostel than a guest house.

Wifi service was rubbish. Had a hole in my bathroom door, and the door lock into the room didn't lock, just required a key to open from the outside.

Other guest houses on the same street which looked better value for money.

Guest Reviews

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The Hostel has definitely a good location to visit Edimburgh and its staff is kind and helpful. The price is cheap but like all the other hostels where I stayed in. Unfortunately I have to say that the toilets as well as the rooms were dirty and smelly. The sheets that are given to guests are very old. My materasse was very old and above all overused: it made an annoying noise when I moved. My bed was definirtely unconfortable to sleep peacefully.
