I came from New Zealand on an impromptu visit to see my son's newborn baby. I booked on the net and stayed here for 10 days. The hotel is inexpensive and very good value for money. It is located in the heart of the city but is very quiet. Nice breakfast. My room is lovely - warm and airy. Terrific shower! The staff are friendly and helpful. I would warmly recommend this hotel.
Stay away!!!!! Bathroom was so dirty and smelled so bad did not shower the next day. We felt like we were in a horror film.

The Victorian House is not a flash hotel but the breakfast was good. Overall it was probably reasonable value for money although we might think twice before staying again.
