Loch Ness Backpackers

The hostel is quite small and homely, so quite communal. Room was great - 1st hostel I've stayed in with beds that don't squeak!! Bathroom nice. Some beautiful scenery around - there's a summary of local walks on the noticeboard. The walk to the loch is beautiful.

About Loch Ness Backpackers

Loch Ness Backpackers Lodge is a warm and friendly little Hostel with a relaxed atmosphere, good music and no curfew.

We are situated in the village of Lewiston, in Drumnadrochit, just a few minutes walk from Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, a perfect location for activity or relaxation. Horse riding, fishing on the Loch and mountain biking can all be arranged locally.

The Hostel has grown from what was once an 18th century farm cottage and barns. It is a clean, cosy and friendly place to stay while travelling by Loch Ness or the Great Glen Way. We have a comfortable lounge, with an warm open fire, to greet you on cold nights after a day out walking.

Hi

The Bed room was not in the Real building. The 4 sharebeds rooms were in separate Shed which is not next to the building. We felt to sleep very bad. The picture was not showed where you are going to stay. Some shared beds rooms are in the building.

They need to show the picture of BedRooms in Shed..

Some beautiful scenery around - there's a summary of local walks on the noticeboard. The walk to the loch is beautiful. I had fantastic weather too, so very lucky! Urquhart Castle is also in walking distance. Drumnadrochit (spelling???) isn't much to speak about but the staff were great - happy to give advice and very friendly. A bit out of the way, so not so good if you like going out, but there are buses to Inverness (£3, about 45 mins) and Fort William every day. A nice hostel and beautiful area - I'd reccommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed couple of days.
