Budget Accommodation Asia Singapore Singapore Hostels Hangout @ Mt. Emily
I am not your typical stereotype backpacker who frequents Hostels. I am 52 years old, and usually budget myself for about $30 a night for a hotel room wherever I go. The $30 room option in Singapore is challenging, and not always desirable due to location or cleanliness.
We are HIP! We are HOT! We are all about No frills, just fun! and we understand what you are looking for.
We provide the clean, comfortable and safe environment for you to rest and we are never too far from where the action is. This is the meeting point where you meet fellow travellers to share travel tales. And importantly, this is the place that doesnt burn a hole in your pocket.
Check out all the facilities and services we provide for you and there will be no doubt where you should HANGOUT!

I spent a good hour on the web searching for accommodations, but I kept coming back to the Hangout@Mt Emily through different web sites. It was with trepidation that I went ahead and booked for 2 nights, as I didn't want to get caught up in a crowd of over zealous, jubilant younger backpackers who would deprive this "old guy" of a restful nights sleep
Not to fear, all my worry's and trepidations about staying here were diminished at the check-in counter by a warm genuine smile, and a very happilly demeanored receptionist
. The 6 male dorm I was given was occupied by 3 other travellers, but after the 1st night it was only 2 of us. The locker for my oversized bag on wheels fit nicely into by locker aside my bed, and the bed itself was spacious enough for me at 1.88m and 100 kg to afford some "wiggle" room under a nice clean comforter.
The really nice touches though are the Decor. The chill-out lounge, the Wash-out, the Hang-out areas are all very "chic" for a hostel and not waht one would expect at all. Saying that, whenever I am in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, I know as a solo traveller I will be staying only with the "Hang-out" hostels.
Thanks folks
