Maybe I expected too much from the guide book that Sleep Sam is the must stay in Singapore. I found it disappointed when first arrived. Yes, it is nicely decorated with dark wood, but the front is many furniture jammed in small space.

About Sleepy Sam's Bed & Breakfast
Staying at Sleepy Sams is like waking up in a luxury resort everyday; but at budget prices - a luxury you need not pay lots of cash for. Sleepy Sams is right in the city, yet is set in uniquely serene and tranquil surroundings amidst a row of preserved traditional houses.
It is located in what once used to be the Sultans palace compounds - now the vibrant and colourful Malay heritage conservation area - and is as laid back as you can get in this busy city! Easy to get to, close to transport, relaxed and friendly - we are sure you'll love it (we sure do).
Every thought has been given to make your stay a very relaxing experience and to creating the privacy each traveller looks forward to.
Sleepy Sams has mixed or female dorm rooms and private single and private double rooms for you. Sleepy Sams does not believe in having you pay a fortune to enjoy our hospitality.

Maybe I expected too much from the guide book that Sleep Sam is the must stay in Singapore. I found it disappointed when first arrived. Yes, it is nicely decorated with dark wood, but the front is many furniture jammed in small space. Room was not my selected "6 beds in female only room" from this website, but a 12-bed room only (this website seemed has wrong info about the room selection). Other than that, the location is good and convenient, room and facilities are clean, breakfast is simple but decent. I slept well in the quiet neighborhood. Overall, it's a good stay.

A great place to stay if you're on a budget. Very friendly and quirky, and right near great restaurants and in a nice area. Choose one of the single sex rooms if possible as they are the best.
