Vila Veselova is located in the diplomatic area of the city, just around the corner from few embassies (Austrian, German, American, Russian and Japanese) and within a walking distance to the town centre, main sights and other points of interest in Ljubljana.Citys main park is just a stone throw away from the hostel and offers abundance of green area and relaxing walks. Proximity of the major galleries and museums offer travelers endless opportunities to discover culture and history of the country.Vila Veselova was also the home of one of the famous Slovenian architect Ciril Metod Koch who rose to prominence after the Ljubljana earthquake, when he reconstructed several buildings in the Vienna Secession style. Vila is enriched with over 140 years old decoration representing the soul of Ljubljana- modern but traditionally charming. Ambient offers rest and chill out spots, garden and terrace. We offer spacious 8, 6 and 4 mixed dorm rooms, a double room, one 4-bed apartment and two kitchenettes. As a result the balance to be paid upon arrival can be different (but never more expensive).*** LATE CHECK-IN ***Reception is open from 8am till 8pm. An early-summer-weeks dream
The Vila looks like the house of Pippi Långstrump (pour le connoisseur). The beds are cosy and the air is fresh, and there are no mosquitos in Ljubljana - enjoy. I suggest to eat the breakfast on the old terrace in the garden. If the supply of breakfast goodies is not full to your taste: get vegetables on the marketplace in the center - tomatoes and some green salad? The location is very fine from the logistic point of view, on the other hand, the road and the train might be a disadvantage - they sound loud. During the week the Vila is almost empty, it fills during fridays and weekends. I do not have any objections, I want to bring my friends next time. Hvala very much (-:
