About 21 Braemer
For the mature & independent travellers: 21 Braemer in Green Point, Cape Town, is situated just above the Waterfront, with very comfortable self catering accomodation in a quiet and secure location. The rooms, which have their own access from a lush garden are in a separate apartment. There are 2 double rooms available (sharing 1 spacious bathroom).
The rooms are fitted with high quality twin beds next to each other. These can be shifted apart. The self catering facilities are just for the basics, with a small fridge, microwave, kettle etc available.
The facility is based in a totally private downstairs setting with its own entrance, garden and steps leading to the upper level pool. From there you have wonderful views over the Cape Town Waterfront and Atlantic Ocean.
Please note that 21 Braemar is privately owned and not commercially focused. The atmosphere is really home away from home for mature & 'rustic' guests. (We often have mans best friends, a black & a white lab, there to welcome you).
The property is a stone throw from various restaurants, shops & delicatessen at your doorstep. The city, waterfront, beaches & a gym are all at walking distance.

This is a great location both from the city centre and the Waterfront. The accommodation is neat, clean, has all necessary amenities and is private. There are good local restaurants, bars, and a supermarket closeby to stock the fridge. Watching the sun go down over the bay whilst sitting on the upstairs balcony surrounded by banksias, leafy green trees and a pool was an experience never to forget. Mark the host is generous and very helpful. I travel regularly and highly recommend 21 Braemer.

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at 21 Braemer! Mark was very helpful and even came and collected us from our tour. The area itself has everything you need and within walking distance to the city centre and the Waterfront. The apartment has comfy beds and a little kitchen where we were able to cook ourselves dinner one night and sit in and relax with a bottle of wine. Would def recommend this accommodation to anyone and would def stay in 21 Braemer again! Thanks Mark for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at 21 Braemer two times during our trip to South Africa and enjoyed it very much. It really gives you that "Home away from home" feeling as it is very private, quiet and you have all the facilites needed to prepare your own meals. The rooms are nice and bright, and there is a table and chairs outside. The location is great, within walking distance of downtown and the harbor area. The owner is very friendly and helpful and was definitely a part of the reason why this was such a nice place to stay. We would definitely stay here again, and will recommend it.

We have had a great time in Cape Town and to a large extend this was because of the great place we found on 21 Braemer! The owner, Mark, is very friendly and accomodating, the place is huge, has everything you want, is perfectly suitable for up to 4 people (2 x 2 beds) and gives the 'home - away - from - home' feeling. It's within a 5 minutes walking distance from your breakfast (if you don't want to make it yourself), shops and an internet cafe (there is also free wireless if you decide to bring your own smartphone or laptop)! The swimming pool looks inviting although the weather wasn't hot enough for us to use it but in combination with the garden the perfect opportunity for a chill out day! I would say that the only 'downside' is the fcat that the house is half way a small hill which makes it a bit of climb if you don't have a car and difficult to access for wheelchairs. Other than that...just go and see for yourself...fantastic value for money!

We were so lucky to find this place. But we also managed to be the first to try out Marks place after he had done suck a great renovation! All is new and it is very tasteful and fresh.
Green point is close to - everything - and we took so much advantage of being able to walk everwhere. Just hope that all the road work will be done before the World Cup!
