About Amakaya Backpacker Hostel

Amakaya Backpackers Lodge is 300 metres away from the shops, restaurants and pubs of Main Street, Plettenberg Bay and only 800m away from the popular Central Beach.

We offer a variety of private rooms and dorms with both shared and en-suite bathrooms.

Our upstairs bar and open air veranda offers a magnificent view of the Tsitsikamma mountain range, the ocean and the bay. This is a great place to relax after a busy day or to watch the sunrise.

At night you can swop stories of your adventures while sitting around the bonfire or lazing in one of our hammocks.

Internet is available and our WiFi connection is available anywhere on the property.

....or just lose yourself in our lounge watching one of the satellite TV channels.

Should you wish to show off your culinary skills to the other guests you are welcome to take charge of our fully equipped kitchen.

Conditions

House Rules For Amakaya Backpackers.

1. No smoking is allowed in the dorms, games room or any part of the building. Smoking is only allowed in outside areas.

2. No eating or drinking allowed in the dorms. Please use the facilities available and clean up your own dishes/glasses/cups.

3. No outside guests allowed in dorms/house without prior permission from management.

4. Safes are available for, we are not responsible for any loss of any personal items.

5. Plett is under severe water restrictions, please respect this and use water sparingly.

6. Check in after 2 pm. Check out is 10 am on day of departure.

7. No rooms will be held after 6pm unless an arrangement has been made for a late arrival."
