The only complaint I had about this was that the shower was a bit limp and pillows were hard. But the room and motel was clean, the facilities were good and the location was excellent and it wasn't too expensive. I'd definitely use it again.

Very good location, near city centre, Insadong and the palaces. The McDonald's mentioned in the directions doesn't have the usual big sign but the bus driver from the Airport told me the stop and I found it quite quickly. Clean room and bathroom but used toothpaste and other toiletries left in the room look a bit grotty. Marilyn

This motel has a great location directly in the city centre, you can easily reach the best sights without using any means of transport. We appreciated also the easy connection with the Seoul Incheon Airport, the airport bus has its stop just across the street. Our room was small, but OK for the money we paid. We had a free internet access directly in our room. We would definitely come back next time.

I recently stayed at ChungJin. First off, it's in a great location! Subway is just 5 minutes away to some of the best spots. Best of all you can just walk everywhere. The facilities are just fine. You have a bed, clean bathroom, tv, blow dryer, air conditioner. They even provide a good amount of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the way so you will never get hungry.

My only complaint was that my room's window view was facing the brick wall of the next building. So I didn't have any view out of my room, not even an alley way. That kind of made it claustrophobic. Other than that, it was a good value for the money. If you are okay with traveling with sheer basics and care only for convenience of location, then ChungJin Motel is the right place for you.

Hey there travellers! I stayed at ChungJin motel for 4 nights. To give you an idea about the place, its PERFECTLY located close to everything.
I caught a bus directly from the airport and it stopped across the road from the motel (which is located behind Mcdonalds in a laneway). Going to the airport was equally as easy, I just walked outside and caught a bus from the main road back to the aiport (bus 6002 takes you to and from the airport.) There is lots of shopping close by, and a lot of major parks/markets/shopping centres/city hall/eateries and tourist destinations (palaces etc) within a thirty minute walk, some of which are less than 5 minutes away ie. Topgol park, Insa Dong shopping district.
The hotel is exactly what you would expect from the price you are paying. It's not the sort of place you would expect to spend most of your time, it's basically just a room with a bed, tv, ac, fridge, shower. The service is good as well, the owners/employees don't speak a great deal (if any at all) of English, however they try their best to understand and help out. The fact that its 24 hour concierge is also great.
The one thing that I was dissapointed with is that there was no wifi access so you have to go to an intenet cafe (or 'PC Bung' as they call it) to email friends and relatives. Having said that, there is one within a 1 minute walk from the motel. Other than that, the room and facilities is enough to get you by.
As I said before, this place is close to everything, all you need is a map, walking shoes and a camera and you're on your way.
I'd strongly suggest this place if you need a centrally located base in South Korea. I'll definately be staying at the Chunjin motel when I go back, I couldn't have picked a place that was located better.

I still had to pay full amount despite paying an online deposit thru Travellerspoint - so bring your receipt printout! This accomodation is good value if you are just looking to crash somewhere comfortable, reasonably quiet and clean. The entrance is in a dodgy alley, but the motel is just off a major route so it's supa easy to get anywhere and only 100m from subway. Would use it again for sure.

The motel is totally worth the money spent. i can't tell how convenient it was to stay there. It's within walking distance from 2 subway stations, Meyongdong, Joyseya Temple and the Jongmyo Shrine. Airport bus stops right away from motel. Not only does it locate at a very central location in the city, the motel itself is nice and clean. Stayed in a private room with TV, blowdryer, distilled water, soap etc. And the family who's running the motel is really nice and helpful.
