The hotel is in an perfect location: walk distance to beach, the Santa Barbara castle and town centre. A tram station is just a cross the street.

i) The location is not too convenient as its not near the shops, eateries and city centre. The beach and the tram station is located near though.
ii) I stayed in a room (no 1006) which had a view of the sea as well as the castle. That was great. But equally dissappointing is the fact that the air condition was not functioning. I thought it was the type of centralised system that took a while to cool. But when I woke up at 4am sweating profusely and also with a pounding headache, I realised that the a/c was not working actually.
I did not attempt to get help from reception, nor a room change as the staff did not speak much English and I was in no position to try to explain my situation at 4am!
As a whole, I was quite dissapointed with the whole experience at this hotel due to the a/c and as such checked out quickly at 9am even without having breakfast.
The hotel mgmt should check the ac system in their rooms.

We are really satisfied after our short stay at Hotel Kris in Alicante.
The hotel is in an perfect location: walk distance to beach, the Santa Barbara castle and town centre. A tram station is just a cross the street.
The room is very clean and has got a bathroom with a shower (in the bathtub) a sink, toilet and bidet. The room is equiped with aircon, T.V. and balcony. I gave service a 4* just because of the lack of any foreign languages of all staff except the people at the reception. Beside of that the whole staff is very helpfull and friendly.
I payed 35Euro p.p.pn. and that is in MY opinion for a 3star hotel with all these facilities exellent value for money.
So a 5 star overall for Hotel Kris Alicante.
