This could be very good place but the facilities need to be upgraded. The showers needed a proper cabin so as to be able to have a shower without worrying about wetting the floor. Instead one has to hold the shower handle all the time because there was only a shower curtain and no shower holder.

Hostal** ABSOLUTcentro is a nice friendly guest house ,economic Pension** 2 stars, located right in the center of Barcelona in the safe modernist area call \' Eixample\'. We are surrounded by historical monuments ( Gaudi\'s buildings), churches, museums, restaurants, boutiques and entertainment.A few minutes to Plaza Universidad and Ramblas.Our guests will be guaranteed a good atmosphere in a clean place. We do have rooms ensuite and rooms sharing bathroom.All the ensuite rooms offer TV. andheating,air conditioning , and small refrigerator. Taxes included---credit card accepted.Guest will get their own keys upon arrival SO you can go out--and come in any time 24 hours.There are public parkings nearby our location.BE AWARE ; Ryanair travelers coming from Girona airport to barcelona city center and to the Hostal ,will have a total travel time of at least 3 hours journey. Reception: open 9 am.--13 hours-- on arrival day check in after this time notify --inform the hostal.--reception completely close from 23 hours to 9 a.m. DAY CHECK IN: In case you arrive after 23 hours you have to inform the hostal before and 25 € extra for this service.

This could be very good place but the facilities need to be upgraded. The showers needed a proper cabin so as to be able to have a shower without worrying about wetting the floor. Instead one has to hold the shower handle all the time because there was only a shower curtain and no shower holder.
We were unfortunate to have a room, though very quiet at the back had a loud generator fan right outside our window, which went on and off throughout the night so one had to wear ear-plugs.
The people looking after the place were very pleasant. More towels and blankets could have been provided. The fridge needs to be replaced as the side plastic containers were broken. With a bit of upgrading this place could become a nice play to stay but sort the generator out and provide simple things like glasses and soap and floor mats. I think it should be one star at the moment but with a bit of upgrading it could rise to star value.
