About El Granado
Five minutes from the Cathedral El Granado is located right in the centre of Granada, with walking distance to all that Granada has to offer, historical monuments, shops, nightlife, as well as to all the university departments located in the centre of the city.
El Granado is a quiet hostel with the history of Granada within the walls of the newly renovated building. Starting with the ground floor and half of the second floor from Nasrid period (13th -15th century) and then passing through the 16th and 17th century colonial style building as the building grows taller to end with all the commodities that the 21st century has to offer; heating, warm water showers, TV and Internet connection. Staying in this charming house, in the hart of Granada, definitely makes for a different and unique experience.
It’s the perfect choice for a family, a group of friends, couples, or backpackers. It is also more affordable than a hotel, without compromising any of the commodities a hotel offers.

Doubleroom:
We also offer rooms for two persons with a double bed and private bathroom. Sheets and towels included.
Shared Dorm / Bunkbeds:
Most economical option. The rooms are shared, backpacker style. In each dorm there are between 3 and 6 beds and individual lockers for your bag. Bathroom and showers are shared with fellow travellers. We have a common rooftop terrass and a common patio and living room with cooking facilities.

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best hostel we have ever stayed in! THe building is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the staff are delightful and the place is so clean i would eat my diner of the floor without any worry at all! Seriousy they clean the place everyday from top to bottom they hover under everything. I suffer from asthma and i had no trouble here from dust or anything!! THe kitchen is lovely and the free breakfast is great.
The staff are so lovely and accomadating. They dont imposed them selves upon you but at the same time they always have time to have a chat or give you a hand with anything! the roof in the hostel is gorgeous as well and its lovely eating your dinner upon there! We are even discussing our next trip back to granada and will be staying at El Granado! No negatives what so ever, we really didnt want to leave!

Really lovely building and room. Nice helpful staff. A little noisey at night as its in a student area but not really a problem. Very clean. Would definatly stay again and would recommend to friends!

A lovely brand new hostel, combining the charm of a beautifully restored old building done in the Spanish/Arabic style with a little bit of Swedish modern practicality thrown in!
The owners (a young Spanish/Swedish couple) run the hostel very well, keeping it all very clean and are also very friendly and offer lots of useful advice about what to see and do in the area.
There is a communal dining/kitchen/lounge area for everyone to meet up in and relax. The facilities are good and there is a very comfortable homely atmosphere there.
The location is central and everything you need or would want to visit is nearby.
My only complaint is that sometimes you could not have breakfast till 9am, as they wanted to clean the kitchen first!
